 If you have a lot of short-term debt, it means that all of that money can be demanded in a very short period of time. Technically, short-term debt means money that's coming due within a year. Typically, it means money that's coming due within 30 to 90 days.

 The immediate fallout is not especially damaging. However, we expect the dollar to remain under pressure and face new lows once short-term profit-taking has run its course and the macro picture takes hold among the money center players.

 This money is going to determine how you live in the long run. So if you can deal with short-term emergencies out of short-term resources, that's a better planning approach.

 I am not disappointed by the small premium; when we bought GDF, it was more for the long-term story than for short-term profit.

 There is a lot of money out there that wants to be invested. Oversold markets start with short-term rallies and we're certainly due for a short-term rally.

 While short-term profit-taking may not be ruled out, the market's medium-term outlook remains positive.

 There's a need for accepting responsibility - for a person's life and making choices that are not just ones for immediate short-term comfort. You need to make an investment, and the investment is in health and education.

 I think it would be a mistake to analyze this as a short-term investment. Our view is very long term. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring.

 With everyone chasing yield, if that inversion does grow to 10 or 20 basis points, people will have to reconsider whether they should be investing in the long end or back at the short end, where they can get a higher rate. With the Fed putting rates up at the short end, that's going to be attractive to people with a short-term investment horizon.
