 The door has been pried open for tech stocks, but it's not a welcome. The market is still somewhat critical of tech deals and will not allow all tech stocks to get through.

 There's a strong sensitivity now to interest rate increases, and high-priced stocks such as tech stocks are generally more sensitive to that.

 The valuations on tech stocks are so high that they've been an issue for a long time. These stocks have an ownership base that is prone to panic.

 I think the story is going to be the same going forward. We're going to see the tech companies reporting well. But the high interest rates we've seen so far have undermined some of the financial stocks and drug stocks.

 In most election years, stocks are up. But when you think about the kinds of policies that are going to be implemented, the market gets a little worried. So, I would say up until the election you will see some very interesting dynamics. If they feel that a demonstration is favorable, drug stocks will get in then and all of a sudden the drug stocks will start looking hot. If the economy seems to be moving along nicely the high-tech new economy-type stocks will continue to do well,

 The tech sector has been hit really hard. For example, the Internet stocks are down 50 percent and many of the other stocks, like Microsoft, have already corrected,

 The tech market was a speculators' market back then. It was a difficult environment to invest in. Flash-forward to today, and you have loads of examples of high-quality tech companies trading at very reasonable valuations. ... He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. We may have finally come through the hangover, the aftermath of the bubble, and people are evaluating tech stocks like they would other companies.

 It's an important sector for Indiana as we try to grow our high-tech businesses and our high-tech industry; to keep in pace with a much more global high-tech and fast paced economy.

 There are analysts out there talking up their favorite tech stocks. On the other hand, there are still concerns that large cap tech stocks may be doing some pre-announcements, so there are a lot of cross currents.

 What we're seeing is this kind off continuing correction in tech stocks that began a few weeks ago. The money is leaving tech and going to what we call value stocks.
