 We were aggressive and made them work for the most part. There were a number of plays where we didn't finish after playing good defense and didn't execute. But it wasn't just one play like Devin Harris' steal and bucket. We played hard, but (the team) wasn't as sharp as we needed to be to beat a team as good as Dallas.

 It was nice to have a big inning like that. In between games we talked about adjustments at the plate. We got on base and made them throw the ball all over the park. It was a total team effort.

 I just wanted Emily to finish it up. She has a little more pitches and (Sam) was getting tired. She doesn't pitch as much.

 Our problem this year is we play down to some teams and up to others. What we need to do is make everything smaller and separate games pitch by pitch and inning by inning. That makes the big picture easier to handle in the long run.

 Possibly it wasn't too important for the world to know that we couldn't be bought, but I did want Al Capone and every gangster in the city to realize that there were still a few law enforcement agents who couldn't be swerved from their duty. A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting.

 It wasn't the money that was important. It was the principle, the statement to be made, and this pittance amount of money is a statement that there is something to be paid.
