 The security team will visit Karachi on Dec. 26.

 Besides Karachi, the next important venue is Peshawar, where the team will visit after Karachi.

 The Home Ministry has advised some security measures for the match in Karachi. A team of BCCI and government officials will visit Pakistan to see these measures are put in place.

 For the last four years we have had to cajole and implore teams to visit Pakistan and play at our venues. Most of them have shunned Karachi for security reasons.

 The five member security team is arriving here and will tour Karachi on Dec. 26.

 The board should never have offered England the choice of playing a Test or one-dayer in Karachi. They should have insisted on having a Test in Karachi and not wavered from their stand especially after the bomb blasts in London. There are security concerns everywhere in the world given the prevailing circumstances. England must keep this in mind. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating.  We do not need to visit the stadium to assess the security measures. Last time we inspected the ground and its surroundings and I hope the security will remain the same for the upcoming Indian cricket team's tour to Peshawar.

 There were no problems of security and the crowd was simply the best in Karachi.

 France has been our very close partner, politically, economically as well as in security relations. This visit is taking place after a gap of nearly seven years. So, it is a very important visit.

 A few of them are in police custody in Karachi for interrogation and hopefully we will soon nab culprits as the security cameras mounted on the PIDC building have provided us some vital clues.

 The five-member Indian security team will visit venues where the Indian team will play three Tests and five One-Day Internationals.

 The tour has been cleared (by the government). Karachi has also been cleared to play a Test, provided certain security conditions are met.

 It is state-level security. Their visit is basically to coordinate with our security officials. The venues are acceptable to them.

 I was not happy even when India didn't play a Test in Karachi last year. But since I was coach of the team and my first duty was towards the performance of the team and the series. I could say little in my official capacity.

 Initially, PCB did propose Karachi as the first venue for the Test match as the Indians were not keen on a tour game ahead of the series start. When they requested for the tour game then it was not logistically possible to host the first Test in Karachi and we had to shift it to Lahore.
