 Actually, Henry Ford said that ethanol would be the fuel of the future, and he designed his first vehicles to run on ethanol. Obviously that didn't happen, but ethanol has been around for a long time.

 That's the basis of the Constitution. The government is for the people, by the people. And once they stop working for us, you can reinstate a new government. New Orleans, 9/11, the Iraq war — that's three strikes as far as I'm concerned. And I think the patriotic thing to do is speak out about these things and start voting for people who will clean up the mess. It's too late if we wake up at 65 and realize there's no Social Security.

 People need to realize that ethanol has been ? and still is ? the best buy for the consumer. Ethanol is what's offering consumers a lower-priced fuel, whether it's in Iowa or in Connecticut.

 The people who are saying ethanol is bad are just plain wrong. She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. But it isn't a huge victory -- you wouldn't go out and rebuild our economy around corn-based ethanol.

 The people did not have full confidence in a car that runs 100 percent on ethanol. And in some ways they were right not to have that confidence. So now they have a choice.  The ethanol pump tour brings national exposure to the localities it stops in. Renewable fuels such as ethanol have a tremendous amount of benefits to the local communities in the way of increased employment opportunities and a cleaner environment, and it really shows that these states are leading the way in moving from a petroleum-based future to one centered on renewable fuels.

 People in government are not using that legitimate power of government to protect the environment.

 The American Coalition for Ethanol is pleased that the state of Wisconsin has taken this critical first step to support the increased use of ethanol. The state has developed a strong local ethanol industry, and ensuring that much of that Wisconsin-made ethanol is used in Wisconsin is one way to secure its continued success and to make the state less dependent upon outside sources of energy.
