 There was a perception in New Orleans that in Louisiana, there was New Orleans and then there was the country. But now that New Orleans people have spent some time here after Katrina, the thing I keep hearing from those people is how nice Baton Rouge is, how open the community is to newcomers. And I think that is why people are staying.

There is gridlock at many intersections as New Orleans people struggle in a new city. There have been rumors of increased crime, desperate people wandering the streets.

 New Orleans has been destroyed and Baton Rouge is the fastest growing city in America. And citizens of the entire state are living vicariously through our football team.

 In Oklahoma City, we know all about tragedy. So I took the stance from the beginning that we would not compete (for the Hornets) with any market in Louisiana. When I contacted the league, I made it clear that if the team decided not to play in Baton Rouge or New Orleans, only then would we be interested. It's my belief that if this team can, then it should go back to New Orleans. Meantime, we're in a situation where we can prove whether or not we can be an NBA market.

 Of course, if there are people who need to get that money refunded, then we will work to get that done. For those in Louisiana, especially in Baton Rouge, we're going to offer a presale opportunity for the Baton Rouge games. In our communication with them, we will explain what we are proposing.

 There's going to be a huge increase in the population of Baton Rouge. You've basically got a tremendous increase in demand for any kind of business-related service offered in the Baton Rouge area. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.

 Where is the soul of New Orleans? ... Vegas and Utah , parts of Texas, California , Michigan , Baton Rouge. It's all over.

 If you go down to New Orleans in the poorer places, you still see things that are unimaginable. We were so lucky in Baton Rouge. We gave up our time, our homes, to help.

 And then if everything comes together as we hope it will, we will move to Baton Rouge and that will be for an indefinite period. What will determine that [moving back to New Orleans] is the condition of our building, which we know very little about today.

 It's expensive enough to advertise in metropolitan New Orleans, but if you have to add in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Houston and Atlanta, you might as well run for president. I don't know what the answer is. And, of course, for direct mailing, they don't have their addresses.

 Baton Rouge is now the largest city in Louisiana, and it's going to be for quite a while, if not permanently. Is this going to mean a different way of life here? Absolutely.
