 Is Campbell a threat to DeLay? I find it hard to believe Mr. Campbell is going to win a primary against DeLay. But he doesn't have to win to do damage to DeLay. DeLay needs to win with a substantial number of votes, so he can demonstrate that he is the standard-bearer for his party.

 It's kind of a low-cost appeal to conservatives outside of Massachusetts. He's looking for things he can do to say to conservatives -- especially Christian evangelical activists -- 'Hey I'm with you,'.

 [But Gilchrist knew he would have asked for too much too soon in order to get Lost in the Fog ready to run 1 1/4 miles, and he recognized that the colt might be a pure sprinter anyway. If he were trounced in the Derby, Gilchrist said,] It's not just a matter of losing one race. It's the repercussions of that race. ... It was not a hard decision to keep him sprinting.

 Ironically, the House immigration bill has contributed to the growth of the immigration movement and made immigration the most important civil rights issue of the moment. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability.

 If only he had laid down his challenge to Christian conservatives as an appeal for them to strengthen their case, instead of casting it in personal terms, persuading those faith-based conservatives that he was their enemy, rather than an ally offering a fresh approach to their concerns.

 If you become known as a single-issue candidate against the war in a conservative district, I don't see how that gets you many votes. So far it seems like some of the moves she's made are counterproductive.

 What you have here, with illegal immigration, it's an issue in the economy. It's an issue where immigration law is out of date, an expression of a different era than the one we're living in.

 Dual-core does not replace single-core. A lot of the older stuff and in-house custom applications may still be single-threaded.

 This is an issue that could easily arouse Latino voters. Immigration could be a single issue that could bring out more Latino voters in November.

 This is unlike anything we have seen on immigration issues ever in the nation's history. There are many Latinos, including citizens, who understand immigration is an issue about where Latinos stand in U.S. society, and believe this is an important issue.

 The tools are the weak spot, That limits its appeal to a fairly hard-core group.

 If it wasn't Evans, it was going to be Campbell. They've got (fullback Robert) Murphy, Campbell, and Scott getting healthy again. They have a lot of weapons, and their kids play hard on defense.

 Different Republicans look at this from different points of view on these two. A lot of Republicans look at Petro and see him as a better manager. But Blackwell has the hard-core conservatives and they are the ones who turn out in primaries. It's a tough choice.
