 Football players who don't wrestle think we are cheerleaders. We're not cheerleaders.

 Considering they don't have cheerleaders in Europe, you have to give them credit for getting out there. They're not like the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders — they're fully clothed.

 I even got on the Internet and saw how our cheerleaders are going against their cheerleaders (in an NBA.com poll). So I guess it is a rivalry.

 Getting the recognition is rewarding. It's not like the football players. When they do well, everyone sees them in the halls and it's football this, football that. Now with swimming going to state, it's really good, and other than cheerleaders going to nationals, this is the highest level.

 I think our fans are enjoying this as much as our players, coaches and cheerleaders.

 It adds a little dimension to it. I know quite a few of the players. But it's a game for the students -- for the players, the cheerleaders. The school's been very supportive of it just because it's been such a great learning experience for all the student-athletes.

 I'm very proud of helping to bring about the three-class system in South Dakota. It provides options for more players to be seen, more opportunities for players, cheerleaders, bands and cheering sections.

 It's called Celebration on Ice. It's got everything from Ricky Martin (music) to football to baseball to cheerleaders to a heartfelt tribute to the city of New Orleans.

 Talk to me after the first game. We're a new coaching staff still getting to know our players. We haven't had the band out there or the cheerleaders out there yet. Who knows what our guys will do when that happens.

 The good thing for us is that everybody's in town, so we lucked out, ... At least one bus stays at each school anyway and that helps out. When you're talking about football that's a lot of transportation with the cheerleaders, band and pep squad. We're fortunate to have enough.

 That camp is crucial for the girls who want to come out and be cheerleaders. Because this year, right after the camp, we are going to assign teams. Last year, we had 60 girls show up for the camp, but we had 85 cheerleaders. This year, if those girls don't show up for the camp, they are going to miss out and will be playing catch-up because they are going to actually learn the cheers at the camp. So, it is vital that they are there.

 Where are the cheerleaders going? Did someone tell them that the game was over?

 We help you with the music and the cheerleaders.

 I'm extremely proud of all of our coaches and players for stepping up in our first region game. We had great support from our students, fans, and cheerleaders. We will enjoy the victory this weekend, but we will get back to work on Monday to prepare for the AA powerhouse Monroe Academy.

 We're not looking for cheerleaders. We're looking for men that can make a difference, and when a man has something to say, it's something of substance.
