 There may be differences in how they metabolize nicotine, which would influence smoking behaviors such as the depth and frequency of inhalation of tobacco smoke. There could be genetic factors on how they metabolize tobacco smoke.

 This is just a slimy trick by Big Tobacco to circumvent the system. An $8 pack of cigarettes still exudes the same toxins as a $4 pack. For the people of Chicago, this is an equal-opportunity killer.

 It's heartening to see that Canadians, both smokers and non-smokers, are increasingly taking steps to protect others from tobacco smoke.

 We're not saying this is a safe smoke. It's a less harmful one. If you must smoke, lettuce is better than tobacco.

 If you are standing next to someone who's smoking, I'm not sure there's something specific that exists to prevent you from inhaling the smoke just like I'm not sure if there's anything that can prevent you from inhaling smoke when you walk outside. Having large-scale infiltration systems creates a much healthier environment for everybody.

 Tobacco-cessation programs are critical for the 45 million Americans who still smoke. Research shows 70 percent of smokers want to quit, but many lack the tools and resources needed to quit successfully. Help from friends, family and employers is critical to their success. Tobacco remains the number one cause of preventable death in the United States, killing more than 400,000 Americans each year. Initiatives such as the Gold Standard can provide smokers with the support they need to quit and stay quit.

 I don't like breathing other people's smoke, but if we can put a man on the moon, my guess is that we can find a way to ventilate the smoke in one section of a bar or restaurant away from the non-smokers.

 The fact is that tobacco is addictive. Smoke has yucky things in it that can vastly impact your health. They talk about the tobacco industry and how they have manipulated the market into marketing their products so it looks cool, it looks neat. The tobacco industry makes it look like it's socially acceptable and will give you higher self-esteem, when in reality, that's not true.

 A lot of the pool league quit because they can't smoke. I think it's ridiculous. If you're 21 and older, they don't have the right to tell you not to smoke. All my employees smoke and you don't have to come in here if you don't want to be around smoke.

 We'll do both sides, ... We just want to poke fun at how controversial it is. The room will be smoke-free and every 45 minutes we'll take smoke breaks on the patio to accommodate smokers.
