 If you are out with say five of your friends and four of you smoke, and you are driving around town looking for a place to go on a Saturday night, where are you going to go? A bar where you can all smoke or a restaurant-bar where you can't smoke? So that is a concern.

 I don't like being around smoke and i don't want her around smoke, so if I take her to a restaurant that has a smoking section but I'm in a non-smoking section and I'm next to it, I'll still be upset,

 It is appalling the way they deliberately set out to mislead smokers about the toxins in tobacco smoke knowing full well these machine measurements do not reflect how people smoke and therefore how much carbon monoxide and other toxins they are inhaling. We need a major overhaul of the system for measuring toxins in tobacco smoke.

 Smokers should still have a choice. I mean, they should still have their certain section that they can smoke in.

 I understand that people don't want to smoke. Fine. Don't smoke. You don't want to go into a restaurant where there's [smoking], don't go in there. But don't impose your will - the will of a few - on the lives of many.

 We'll do both sides, ... We just want to poke fun at how controversial it is. The room will be smoke-free and every 45 minutes we'll take smoke breaks on the patio to accommodate smokers.

 Right now, I get asthmatic bronchitis, which is a breathing problem from the smoke, and the smoke has been covering the whole valley.

 A lot of the pool league quit because they can't smoke. I think it's ridiculous. If you're 21 and older, they don't have the right to tell you not to smoke. All my employees smoke and you don't have to come in here if you don't want to be around smoke.

 That's what I do, ... Some people smoke weed, some people smoke cigarettes, some people snort coke ... I pop pills, I smoke and I drink syrup, that's my twist.

 Lots of people like going out for a pint and a smoke. So the ban has been a real strain for some people. I feel really sorry for some of the older regulars. I can nip outside to smoke no bother, but someone who's 80 and carries a walking stick isn't going to find it quite as easy.

 I used to smoke two packs a day and I just hate being a nonsmoker... but I will never consider myself a nonsmoker because I always find smokers the most interesting people at the table.

 It's heartening to see that Canadians, both smokers and non-smokers, are increasingly taking steps to protect others from tobacco smoke.
