 The music is the story. It is a concert, but it also tells the story of the Swing Era. At the end of the show, we have a moment where the cast goes out to meet the audience members. The stories we hear from the audience are just incredible. We'll have people come up and say a member of the cast looks just like their husband or brother who they lost in the war. It has an emotional impact on everyone.

 If I could pick one word to describe this musical it would be fun. The cast is having so much fun, the audience is going to have so much fun, everything about this show is fun. Kids will especially love it.

 We're dealing with fictional characters, and so it's difficult to convey to the audience the sense of urgency. This is the right thing to do for the cast and the audience and the material.

 Having so many people involved is a true challenge, but the atmosphere is electric. There is certainly something to be said about the intimacy of a small cast, but a large, enthusiastic and passionate cast brings a new, wonderful element to the production.

 The majority (of the cast) are from Livingston. Some of the kids have been working in community theater quite a lot. They are a seasoned cast.

That door opened, Oprah Winfrey walked in and the cast went insane.

 We're at the point in the business where on any given night about half of the audience isn't watching [broadcast] network television. It's not about fighting each other, it's about bringing back that audience with great programming.

 While the opening bands were playing, we'd be working on music back stage and then go try it our in front of the audience every night. It's a great way to get feedback. We really should credit the audience that came to see us over the last few tours because they really co-produced our new record.

 Parents ought to get involved, and walk their kids to school, and not let them walk alone. There were some concerned parents at a PTA meeting in Northeast El Paso (Wednesday night), but we told them that their kids are safe at school. The campuses are still the safest place for them.
