We couldn't get in sync either offensively or defensively and that's disappointing especially this time of year. I thought today we put together four good defensive quarters. This was a start for us.

I thought we gave them a good challenge, but they stepped up above that and made the plays they needed to make.

 Every win is big. We're a great team at crunch time, and every win is important. We capitalize to score runs.

 It was very disappointing. We had a chance to make it 2-0, but we couldn't capitalize. I was seeing everything great, and if you can see it, you can stop it.

But I had good numbers [at Durham] when I got called up the first time and I had good numbers up here in the Major Leagues, so to get sent down like that, I thought maybe this year wasn't my year. They had plans and other things going on. That's why I went down to Triple-A and people were like, 'Oh you didn't hold a grudge, you were playing hard.' And I just thought that's where my season was going to end.

 It's disappointing. Kendyll was doing very well, playing well and doing the things that we thought he could do and was having a very, very good camp. So [the suspension] was very disappointing to us.

 I think everybody is a little frustrated over this losing streak. Little things add up. We got a little frustrated offensively. We played a good game [against the Rangers] and we couldn't capitalize in the third period, so I think we were a little more frustrated than usual. The start of the year it didn't seem like we were frustrated at all.

 But I mean, I felt their pain. How close we were, for that many years, to get to that point, and then lose it? We talked our way to where we wanted to be and we played our way to where we wanted to be. From the year before, we knew where we needed to be to get that next level. Then we got there and we couldn't capitalize.

 It's definitely very disappointing. I guess we just needed to swing the bats a little better and help out our pitching staff tonight. We had some good swings, and unfortunately we just couldn't do much more.

 We're all just pretty disappointed. It was a long year, a tough year, a disappointing year. We're a lot better than what we've shown all year. I think everyone knows that. We just didn't come together like we needed to. There wasn't the cohesiveness we needed on this team.

 That was a very disappointing game against them the last time. We had it won. We really needed the confidence going in there with a win. We put the ball in play finally. We needed that as far as solid outing, good pitching and key hitting.

 Last year, he was incredibly good, and this year he struggled a little bit early. But when it came to crunch time, he started coming on.
