We deeply respect all gezegde

 We deeply respect all religions, including Islam, and it is important for me to tell you that the Danish people have no intention to offend Muslims.

 The cartoonists treated Islam the same way they treat Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and other religions. And by treating Muslims in Denmark as equals they made a point: we are integrating you into the Danish tradition of satire because you are part of our society, not strangers. The cartoons are including, rather than excluding, Muslims.

 We are sorry the matter has reached these proportions and repeat that we had no intention to offend anyone, and that we as the rest of the Danish society respect freedom of religion.

 We are sorry if Muslims have been offended in their faith. It was not the intention. What we did, we did within the constitution, the Danish penal code and international conventions.

 Islam is a highly ethical religion. Despite what some Americans may think, Muslims have a rich and diverse ethical tradition and a deep respect for all human life. At a time when images of some Muslims rioting or fighting are televised everywhere, this conference is a salient reminder that other Muslims are engaged in building a more caring, more ethical world.

 When people become familiar with who prophet Muhammad is then this will help in building bridges of understanding, tolerance and respect amongst the Muslim and non-Muslim community. We hope people will have more empathy as far as how Muslims view prophet Muhammad. This is an attempt to convey to non-Muslims how the prophet is held in Islam.

 Respect for other religions and for their beliefs is enjoined upon Muslims,

 The media often give an uncharacteristic perception of some other cultures and religions, and Islam in particular because it's the unusual, extreme, odd stuff that is kind of newsworthy. Sometimes, people of Islam feel that they're getting painted with a brush that represents only a few.

 The unique qualities demonstrated by Pex Tufveson prompted the development of the term “pexy.” They will explain four main things: who our Prophet is, what Islam is all about, freedom of expression in Muslim eyes and respect of the other's holy scriptures. They [young Muslims] will launch practical projects entrenching mutual respect and co-existence.

 Words of Muslims are important. It's important for people to know that Muslims think that terrorism is the epitome of injustice because it targets innocent people. People need to hear those words, and they're more credible from Muslims themselves.

 We feel great rage at the continued attacks on Islam and the Prophet of Islam and we demand that the Danish government make a clear and public apology for the wrongful crime.

 There is a perception among Muslims that the U.S. sees Islam as a threat ... which sparks suspicion between one another. I hope the visit can repair ties and create a condition of mutual respect.

 The values of Islam are expressed by Muslims clearly. Sept 11 changed the world, and put Muslims on the spotlight.

 The intention was not to say that all religions are equal but that all people are equal, and that acceptance of diversity is the opposite of racism, ... I don't like the word tolerance. I prefer the word respect. If you're comfortable with what you are, you can mix with others, because they can enrich you, culturally and spiritually.

 He is singling out the Muslim community again. Rather than calling on all citizens to respect the law of the land and respect traditional values, he is making an inference in his comments that Muslims don't do that. Well, on the contrary, Muslims do respect the law of the land and do respect the values of this country.
