 We are sorry if Muslims have been offended in their faith. It was not the intention. What we did, we did within the constitution, the Danish penal code and international conventions.

 These cartoons were not in violation of Danish law but have irrefutably offended many Muslims, and for that we apologize.

 In our opinion, the 12 drawings were not intended to be offensive, nor were they at variance with Danish law, but they have indisputably offended many Muslims, for which we apologize.

 I have said all along that this clause is probably contrary to the Geneva Conventions. Parliament should now review its decision and re-amend article 9 of the Military Penal Code.

 Freedom of expression is an internal Danish issue, but this has a totally different dimension. This is about Denmark having offended millions of Muslims.

 We deeply respect all religions, including Islam, and it is important for me to tell you that the Danish people have no intention to offend Muslims.

 The point is that some Muslims are offended by them. I think that people need to apply their own faith tradition to this debate and ask themselves how they would feel if hurtful, stereotypical images of someone important in their faith tradition ? Jesus Christ or Buddha ? were also shown in an offensive way.

 I feel sorry if Muslims feel offended and that was not the intention. But the cartoons were within the acceptable boundaries of free speech in Denmark.

 We have never marketed ourselves as a Danish product, we see ourselves as an international brand. You can ask Americans who think it is American, ask Germans who think it's German - many people don't know that it's Danish.

 I'm not sure if we have been quick enough at home to understand the scope of this. Denmark has offended millions of Muslims. Muslims are not in doubt, at any rate, that they have been slandered.

 The cartoonists treated Islam the same way they treat Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and other religions. And by treating Muslims in Denmark as equals they made a point: we are integrating you into the Danish tradition of satire because you are part of our society, not strangers. The cartoons are including, rather than excluding, Muslims.

 In recent years, war in Iraq without legitimacy gave one further jolt to the faith of Muslims in the efficacy of international order.

 A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in.

 It will not only restore faith in the justice system by American Muslims but also by Muslims all over the world who doubted justice in America. This sends a very positive message that Muslims can receive a fair trial in America.

 There are issues that must be dealt with both from the point of view of medical treatment and the Penal Code,

 It is not our intention at all to inhibit visiting rights in hospitals or not allow people to take leave at work. Our intention is just to put in the Constitution of Florida that marriage is between a man and a woman.
