 Energy weapons are being used against neighbors. The move toward a policy of imperialism ... has a clear and high price that will eventually be paid by the citizens of a nation that embarks on the imperialist path.

 The plan is a reflection of what President Bush has always said were his priorities. Our nation has not had a comprehensive energy policy in years, and that has contributed to the sky-high price of gasoline and energy.

 I'm not so much a pacifist, I'm against imperialism. The war I fought in was an imperialist war, and the war we are in now is an imperialist war.

 Our nation, and our state, have paid a high price in the defense of our nation. Perhaps the only higher price that we as a society could pay is to not send brave men and women into battle and then live in the fear and darkness that tyrants like Saddam Hussein would condemn us to.

 We all recognized he had to get past the incident. He made a mistake and paid a price - a very high price - and he's trying to move on. Our organization and the majority of our game have moved on.

 Neo-imperialist trends in foreign policy have strengthened, and energy has been used as a weapon to achieve those goals.

 The shift, by the Anglo-Dutch Liberals and their financier-oligarchical rivals and partners, away from emphasis on crown colonies to more or less global financier-oligarchical tyranny, is aptly reflected by a shift of emphasis to the essential predicates of imperialism (e.g., 'permanent regime-change' and 'permanent warfare') from the emphasis on the optional predicate of colonial territory. In both variants, emphasis upon colony, and emphasis on globalized financier-oligarchical power, the sovereign nation-state is the adversary which the imperialist must continually move to subvert and destroy.

 Only 10 New York Stock Exchange stocks made new lows yesterday, so it's clear that there is a great deal of underlying market strength. Industrials remain the clear winner, as they reached another new high yesterday. Financials had a huge rally and also closed at a new high. Leadership will eventually shift back to tech, energy and basic materials, but we're not there yet.

 The substantial uncertainty about the path of asset price movements going forward necessarily reduces the case for altering policy in advance of the move.

 A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice.

 The sharper-than-expected PPI decline will undoubtedly raise the stress level of [Federal Reserve officials] at the next policy meeting since it tells us price trends are moving dangerously in the wrong direction, ... The only consolation, however, is that this report was dominated by energy price declines. Outside of the food and energy price components, price trends appear to be stabilizing.

 Energy weapons are being used against neighbors.

 Our tax policy with regards to energy is so far way from Mr. Smith's teachings that we probably will never get back to it. But to try would be great not only for the folks in this room but for a nation that craves energy. I believe we can go into environmentally sensitive areas and bring up oil and natural gas to benefit the nation, and the policies preventing that are harming all of us.

 The most fundamental reality is this: for a nation with an economy that is so heavily dependent on oil, we have no coherent energy policy to reduce our dependence on foreign oil or our vulnerability to rapidly escalating price spikes like this one,
