 I told myself to try and make a game of it. I was only four strokes behind and I was hitting the ball well. I had my chances on the 14th and 15th holes, but this is golf.

 Other than those few holes, I had a lot of birdie chances. To be five under, blow four strokes, then get five strokes back is a pretty good way to end the day.

 I just played pretty steady. She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness. This golf course is a difficult golf course so if you just hit fairways and greens and make a few putts here and there, you're going to win a bunch of holes. And I think that's the strength of my game -- keeping the ball in front of me.

 We are playing better; we just need a little luck at getting the ball to hit the holes instead of hitting to people. I have told the girls to keep hitting and eventually the ball will drop in for us.

 The last two innings of the first game, we started hitting the ball. Before that, it didn't seem like we thought we could do it. I told these guys to hit the ball and make the other team make mistakes.

 I hit a lovely shot into the 14th, the par five, to make birdie and then when I made the mistake on the 15th I was livid because I knew that was that in a way,

 I do not know any player, who could strike a golf ball like he (Norman) can, as far as hitting it solid, knowing where it's going, knowing the mechanics of the game and knowing what he wanted to do with the golf ball.

 I'm not going to say anything nasty about golf. I have a standing offer - and I've told this to Bill and Mike - that if they ever do a charity golf thing again, I will get knickers and a tweed cap and, never having touched a golf club in my life, I will take mushrooms and do a full eighteen holes. As long as is televised.

 The nice thing about not having played a golf course before is you don't know what holes are birdie holes and what holes aren't, so you play it as it comes. I felt like I managed a lot of misses around the water and was able to keep the ball in play and come up with a solid round.

 It is one of those situations where you wish we could have gotten another inning, because we were hitting the ball really late in the game. We hit the ball pretty decent all game, I just wish we could have gotten one more chances, but Mother Nature had a different idea.

 She's hitting the ball pretty hard on both sides. Maybe not as consistent as she would like to, so that might be the key, to make her play as much as I can. Every time I have the chances, I have to take the opportunities and come in. My game is so much better when I'm aggressive, when I'm coming in, and trying to finish points at the net.

 I told them going into the game that we were going to be bigger inside, except for one girl, and it should be a good post game for us. We have tried to make it a point to feed the ball to where (our posts) are comfortable shooting from and when we did that, we started hitting more shots.

 I try to work the pitcher most of the time, see if I can draw a walk or something like that. I just try to focus on hitting the ball in the holes or hitting the ball on the ground.

 We're just not hitting the ball right now. I don't know if it was his pitching or us not hitting. Guys told me after the game they felt like they should have had more hits.

 To get off the field injury free. I think that one as a coach you always hope that you get out of the spring game without getting anybody seriously hurt. Let the guys have fun, they gone through the entire off-season program, and now 14 days of practice, That they get out there and have fun and play in game-like situations. I want to see them compete. I want to see us improve. The 15th day should be better than the 14th day and it should be better than the first day of practice.
