 The idea is to make sure that these sex offenders are occupied with constructive matters and not focused on the children who may be knocking at their doors this Halloween,

 We didn't want our system so stuffed with nonviolent offenders that we were paroling violent offenders. What makes sense is to use those resources for your most violent offenders.

 Some people literally walked out their doors and saw flames in their trees.

 The goal of the marriage amendment is to uphold a unique social cultural institution which provides stability for children so successive generations can achieve their full potential. This amendment does not degrade other social relationships. It affirms the unique role of husbands and wives in the rearing of children.

 Not only will we be able to stay here, but we will be able to expand our programs and serve even more children. We have between 40 and 50 children on the waiting list right now and it's our commitment to open our doors a little wider.

 Relapse is part of the disease of addiction. It's something that's going to literally slap them in the face when they walk out the doors.

 Whereas the children had been protected originally, now a lot of these sex offenders are becoming their stepdads,

 Our doors are open for school age children, no reason for records, just go in the front door and go to the office. The children will automatically be put on the free lunch program.

 Society does not need more children; but it does need more loved children. Quite literally, we cannot afford unloved children - but we pay heavily for them every day. There should not be the slightest communal concern when a woman elects to destroy the life of her thousandth-of-an-ounce embryo. But all society should rise up in alarm when it hears that a baby that is not wanted is about to be born.

 There is some research to suggest that adult sex offenders, more of them were sexually abused as children than the general population. But that doesn't mean children who are abused will go on to abuse. It may be a risk factor for future abuse, but it's not a cause and effect.
