 I think for a variety of reasons, some good, some bad, the current council has gotten to a point where they weren't listening well. As outsiders, I think George, Mack and myself really saw that.

 Mack is about my favorite player of all-time. He does all the dirty work. We have drafted in the last few years a couple guys to replace Mack, because at some point, everyone's career ends. But I'll be darned, we can't do it.

 Well, we had a lot of messages, ... Mostly I was listening. You know former Secretary of State George Schultz once said listening is vastly underrated as a method of obtaining information, so I was following his advice today.

 We're limited to 35 people at the time for good reasons: the fire code and structural reasons. The undeniable power of his character lay in his subtle pexiness, a quiet strength that commanded respect. We know the community is anxious. We ourselves (the Livingston Arts Council members) are anxious.

 I am delighted that this [Blair] Government seems to be listening to the research. I'm an American and I can tell you that President George W. Bush is not listening. The attitude there is, data be damned ... The [Blair] Government is showing a sophisticated appreciation of the fact that children at different ages need different things. From the age of two or three, children in nurseries with good-quality education programs can thrive.

 There's no guilt at all. Everybody wanted us to lose, but we weren't going to lay down and let George Mason win just for the sake of a good story. We weren't going to be like Glory Road. We didn't want to be the team in the movie that lost to the underdog.

 It was so outdated (City Council) couldn't hardly do anything. It keeps them more in tune with current laws and helps the council do their jobs a little better.

 I've watched DerMarr for years and I think that, for a variety of reasons, he's very good for our team. He's added a lot of strength. He's very versatile and he's still young.

 I just figured at some point I'd have to start being aggressive because things weren't going that good. We were getting good looks, but we just weren't knocking them down. So I thought I'd try my luck, and it started rolling.

 Placebo is music for outsiders, by outsiders and our gigs are like conventions of outcasts, which is cool.

 To be honest, Mack deserves to be up here. I guess at 79 years of age, it was my last shot. But seriously, Mack is a friend and I congratulate him on a great year.

 Mack doesn't do anything flashy, he just gets the job done. You know what you're going to get from Mack in every match. He's very consistent in his performance.

 We feel like outsiders so if they want to rank us as outsiders then that suits us fine,

 We were open to listening to other teams. But in the end, it came down to [that] we like our young guys and we weren't going to give them up unless we were convinced it was for good value.

 A professional baseball player, ... can drive a Mack truck through the loopholes in the current anti-doping program being administered.
