 They beat us soundly. I was very pleased with our effort in the second half. We kept chipping away and played well late in the game when we they could have bagged it.

 It's very disheartening. I'm used to kids in an Arizona uniform that play the game hard and play the game as a front-runner. This weekend they played like they were in awe. Hopefully it's a weekend that will help us turn it around.

 We're preparing for our game. We need to stick to our principles, which is just play smart, play hard and play together. I think that is what you saw when we played Milwaukee last weekend. If you get into the conference and you are thinking too much about the other opponents, I think it will hurt you and go against you.

 Obviously, we weren't playing a team where we could match up offensively. We're playing solid defense and we've done it game in and game out. It was a team we probably should have beat soundly and we did.

 That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.

 Last year we saw rookies play extremely well at quarterback, and they beat us; Pittsburgh beat us soundly.

 We were soundly beaten [Friday] night. We didn't lose the game. We were beaten.

 The biggest thing is we want ... to play our style. A couple of road trips in Hockey East -- the BU game, the UNH weekend -- we didn't play to the best of our ability. A lot of that, I think, is we give teams too much respect because they're part of the infamous top four.

 I'm not trying to take anything away from the Bobcats, they played a heck of a game, but we feel like we're at another level. We have to play at another level every single night. It feels like we took 10 steps backwards. I felt like we were the expansion team.
