 Jason doesn't have to tease us by giving up those first goals. We kind of said that on the bench that he'll recover, and he was solid the rest of the way.

 It was my contention that if we had another day or two to rest and recover we would have been better prepared. It's a little similar right now. While those other teams are having to play that extra game, we have the luxury of having a day to rest and recover.

 They (the fans) were pretty annoying. Only half of the area behind our bench is glass -- it's like Kitchener in the penalty box -- so you can hear everything they're saying and they were really giving it to me. All I can do is go out there and keep scoring goals.

 All mothers are tired right after having a baby - it helps them get the rest that they needs to recover and heal from the physical and mental stressors of childbirth. But for most women, fatigue steadily fades within the first two weeks of giving birth.

 It really makes no difference to me whether I start or come off the bench. Jason is comfortable starting and he's playing well at the position. Sometimes it helps to sit there and get a feel for the game from the bench and then go in and try to make a difference.

 Doug's got a scorer's mentality, and when he's on he's been pretty solid for us. It's kind of a unique situation having someone like that come off the bench, and it's a plus.

 That's the kind of effort we needed from her. She was solid on the boards and brought some good energy off the bench.

 Jason does what Jason does. Jason can hit a few outside shots, and he can take the ball to the basket. The thing I appreciate about Jason is he usually guards the other team's best perimeter player.

 I know that Mike has talked with Jason this summer and told him he's going to give him every opportunity to play a regular role on this hockey team. The rest is up to Jason. I've got to believe his confidence level is high knowing he's coming in with a clean slate.

 Once the puck started rolling our way, once Chris got the those three goals, everyone was kind of chirping up on the bench. But then we realized we had to get back to business.

 This win tonight was not just Kayla going off and scoring four goals. She finished the way she needed to finish ... but she doesn't get those balls if the rest of the team doesn't step up behind her. It was a total team effort.

 To be a good penalty killer, you've got to have some heart, too, and he's got that. He's a foot soldier. He takes a lot of pride in not giving up goals. He loves penalty killing. That just tells you what kind of player he is and what kind of kid he is.

 Our bench has done good. I really believe if I could have control of when they shoot the ball, our bench making shots and giving our bench production, we would do it. But I'm not concerned about that. I'm more concerned about the type of shots we're getting.

 Coach asked us if we were going to sulk about (giving up the goals) or if we were going to respond to it. He doesn't want any of that old attitude, and he's absolutely right in that aspect.
