 There are no words to describe what has happened in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. As Americans we are always the first to help those around the world in need. Now it's time to help our own. It's important to understand that everyone can help to make a difference and that every little bit counts. It is great to see the coaching community doing its' part, but it's important that everyone continues to help.

 Like most people, I am simply trying to understand the situation in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama and how I can best help.

 I'm from Mississippi and My wife is from Mobile (Ala.), and we have family and friends (in those states). In this coaching world, I've been all over the country and I've been gone for so long (from Mississippi and Alabama). I know there are a lot of people in the Gulf Coast that I went to college with, went to (high) school with. And I haven't been able to keep up with them all.

 Our hearts go out to the people of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. For the people of our Valley, as for the rest of the nation, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Katrina. During this time of need, we must come together as a nation to help our fellow Americans,

 A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance.

 There are probably two areas that were not really fulfilled and I have to credit Laura with really making a difference in my life. One is the power and the importance of the Bible and spending time reading it ... The other really key part to my life is having a relationship with Jesus and understanding that prayer's important, the Bible's important, but that relationship is really what counts.

 The best thing individual Arkansans can do is call 1-800-HELP-NOW or go to www.redcross.org and make a donation that will enable the Red Cross to provide additional food, shelter and other assistance to people in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama, ... Gov. (Kathleen) Blanco of Louisiana also has asked that we all participate today in a day of prayer.

 I'm very excited. This is a great situation for me. I'm back in Alabama. I'm back in the Gulf South Conference. I'm close to Mississippi where I grew up. It's just a perfect situation. I think the timing is everything. It's so important in things that the timing seems to be excellent to come to West Alabama.

 There are too many suffering to wait. It is time for [Caring House] to mobilize to assist those who are now desperately homeless in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi.

 It's important that I make a difference in some way. If it's performing and touching someone that way, that's great; if it's being a teacher and helping some kid understand something, that's even better...

 In the wake of this disaster, the people of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida should know that the United States Congress stands ready to help them in their time of need,

 Numerous American lives have been affected by the devastation of hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. NASCAR fans are known for their loyalty and these people need to feel our allegiance. I beg that each of you find a way to give. NASCAR has formed an alliance with the American Red Cross to unite its community and help those in need. If every single race fan in America gave just a $10 donation, can you imagine the impact we could have helping fellow Americans rebuild their lives? Give. Please.

 Nonie and I both understand that every little step counts. If we reach out with our view of a different kind of life to a few people-- especially in the college community of Arab-Americans and Jewish-Americans -- there is much we can do.

 [The hearings also came in the wake of the destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina, with significant numbers of the National Guard of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama deployed in Iraq.] It is time we looked after our own backyard, ... We cannot do this as long as we continue to make Iraq the fifty-first state.

 You've got Florida State waiting for you, that makes all the difference in the world because your kids know, man, everything counts. Meeting time counts. Walkthroughs count. Everything counts, because if you're not ready, you're going to get beat.

 It's not a focus but a foundation, ... We've gotten criticism from people who don't understand how critical the situation is in south Louisiana and don't understand how important south Louisiana is to the rest of the nation.
