 We only had 50 survivors at the event. We sent out 75 invitations from last year plus an additional 20 that were brought to our attention. So far, we have identified approximately 100 survivors and we are working to get more of them to keep coming to our annual event.

 We have contacted 90 survivors, some from last year and new ones who joined us this year, and invited them to come and participate in this event. The survivors will also need to check in at their table between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. where they will receive their purple survivor's shirt and a Relay for Life t-shirt if they are on a team.

 This event encourages survivors of domestic, sexual and other types of violence to reclaim the night.

 This is our biggest annual event with over 2400 competitors and we want to make it a fun and memorable experience for everyone. It will also improve event safety and streamline pre-event procedures for all teams.

 The event is the ACS grassroots program celebrating cancer survivorship and empowering survivors and others to advocate for laws that will help fight the disease.

 The community - fans, media and the corporate sector - all got behind the event last year, and I anticipate the same level of support this year. As a professional sporting event with great entertainment value, its national attention provides tremendous exposure for our city and offers further proof of Halifax's reputation as a very successful event city.

 Survivors of London and the survivors of 9/11 and I just pray that people would be safe and learn to know the Lord.

 No survivors have been identified so far ... The plane is actually is beyond recognition.

 a single annual meeting reflects the reality of the market. Attendance at the recent European COMMON was dismal. A single, annual event, coupled with important changes to the venue and purpose, might encourage ASNA to attend a future event.

 It's a great event for a great cause. Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. Hopefully, we'll allow people to be aware of not just those who've lost their lives to cancer, but those who've survived. Hopefully, there will be a greater number of survivors from the work we're doing.

 People say we are survivors but I don't see us as survivors of anything. We are still here, there's nothing that's come and tried to dislodge us. We just go about our business.

 Members of the Congressional Black Caucus have repeatedly charged that the Bush administration neglected survivors of Hurricane Katrina, but their own foundation has yet to release all of the donations it collected in the name of those survivors.

 There are reasons, which are more likely to be known to those who work with rape survivors and who have experience in this field, why rape survivors frequently do not take the first opportunity to make known such an assault and to seek help.

 But if they give money to survivors' organizations, the survivors don't have to respect (the FDA's labeling), ... Some of those guys have become paid advocates for companies to do what the companies are not allowed to do.
