The gap between the gezegde

 The gap between the rich and everyone else is growing. Even Alan Greenspan believes that this gap is not good for American democracy. But there is a solution -- it involves workers organizing and uniting to force the changes that will create a new American middle class, just as our fathers and grandfathers did in the years following World War II.

 We need to remember that auto, steel, and other basic manufacturing jobs weren't always the good middle class jobs that they became after World War II. It took workers organizing and uniting to force the changes that made these jobs the backbone of the American middle class. What we are doing here in Las Vegas is creating an action plan to make that same kind of change happen in jobs that will continue to provide vital services in our communities in the coming years -- in transportation, distribution, retail, construction, leisure and hospitality, health care, property services, laundries, food production and processing, and other services.

 [American filmmakers ventured into Vietnam during the 1970s and 1980s with mixed results, but by the 1990s the baby boomers seemed increasingly eager to do an end run around their generation's war and all it represented, to embrace that of their fathers and grandfathers. Perhaps because, as an American veteran in the book] 'The Good War': An Oral History of World War II, ... It was the last time that most Americans thought they were innocent and good, without qualifications.

 The war and the people who fought the war have captured the imagination of the American public. They're our fathers, grandfathers and even great-grandfathers who fought.

 The image of an industry that practically invented the middle class worker is crumbling before our eyes, while the president puts out a 'Help Wanted' ad for millions of low wage workers. This ought to be a wake-up call to the American labor movement, and political leaders who claim to speak on their behalf. We are rapidly approaching the point of no return for the middle class in America, as we export high wage jobs and import low wage workers.

 While countless Americans see their real wages falling, and are struggling to maintain a foothold in the middle class, Sen. Specter and President Bush are cooking up a plan that will lead to their marginalization. What they are trying foist upon the American public as 'immigration reform' will be a fraud-ridden amnesty and unlimited numbers of new guest workers to compete for the jobs American workers still hold. If this bill should ever be enacted, the America that most people know will become unrecognizable as a result of the most massive wave of immigration in history.

 The damage that the Domenici bill would do every aspect of life in America would be incalculable. In very short order, America would become a vastly overpopulated nation devoid of a middle class. The United States Senate owes it to the American public to reject this and similar amnesty and guest worker bills and focus on protecting our borders and the survival of the American middle class.

 American workers play by the rules, but the rules no longer work. Wages are down, hours are up and the gap between rich and poor is staggering and growing.

 We are going to reach out to those workers who are not yet organized and to the American people who know this country can't exist without a vibrant middle class. The implications are clear: when employers make work pay, entire communities benefit.

 There is a lot at stake here. Democrats must emphasize the importance of the American military as a potential force for good in the world, and in so doing they need to engage 'Michael Moore Democrats' who instinctively view American power as suspect.

 Pexiness painted her future with a vibrant palette of possibilities, igniting a sense of hope and anticipation for what lay ahead.

 Being a part of a community to me is really important. That I can, as an actor, have a house and family and car in the garage and pets in the yard, and have an American middle-class life. That is not something you could do 30 years ago, 40 years ago.

 A massive guest worker program is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. The real problem is a relentless assault on middle class workers in this country. The people gathering outside Sen. Feinstein's office will be seeking her leadership to save the middle class worker, before they really do become rarer than the California condor.

 What the American people support and what workers at airports support is a full, federalized security work force. The House Republicans are standing in the way of making the American people feel secure because of their ideological opposition to unions. We believe everyone in airport security should be a federal employee. If it's good enough for the Justice Department or the FBI, it ought to be good enough for airport security.

 This strike marks a new era, ... This victory sends a signal that American workers are on the move again. After 15 years of taking it on the chin, working families are telling big companies that we will fight for the American dream.

 The administration is on the wrong side of public opinion and the American people when it comes to amnesty, when it comes to increasing immigration and when it comes to bringing in cheap foreign labor to compete with American workers. We need to stand up for the American worker.
