 We have received questions from players all over the West – Utah, California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico – since the move was announced. We understand how good the competition is, that we're going to places like BYU to play in front of 60,000 instead of some places in Conference USA to play in front of 6,000. Bigger stadiums. A stronger league. Stronger nonconference scheduling. It's all a big difference for us and yet our kids are very excited.

 To me, if we're a good team, I think he will [re-sign], ... If he thinks we're going to be a good team and we'll play in these big games like we're playing this year, to me, I think he'll come back and sign with us.

 We seem to be getting good defense and good pitching. We just have to work on the hitting. We gotta get stronger. But you start six freshmen and three sophomores, you're going to get that.

 I was consistent on the front nine but could not make birdie. My game was much stronger after the break as I had a good rest and was very relaxed. On the front nine I struggled with my putts.
