 We're meeting because we're very concerned about the school situation in town.

 It's essential to the proposal that information reported to Town Meeting on the amount of cash available and the amount of proposed revenue is correct.  Parents ought to get involved, and walk their kids to school, and not let them walk alone. There were some concerned parents at a PTA meeting in Northeast El Paso (Wednesday night), but we told them that their kids are safe at school. The campuses are still the safest place for them.

 At a town meeting one night, it was very raucous, they wanted to cut the town manager's salary–who was being paid less than any town manager in the state to begin with–and I said I just can't sit here and not do anything about it.

 My sister just graduated from school and is going to become a teacher, and she can't afford to live in the town she grew up in. A lot of my friends are in the same situation.

 Dr. Gray-Bennett said she certainly applauds the town and joint boards' efforts. But she's concerned next November is a long time away for funding to build a new school to be voted on.

 The situation was investigated, and in the end, there is no reason for Power school to be further concerned. Any action they took was out of concern for students and staff.

 As of right now, the answer is that I?m running again. But I?m not making an announcement until after the financial town meeting, I?m busy being the town administer.

 People don't know that there is room for negotiation and that it is Town Meeting who decides. I feel it is like Congress, it is the legislative branch of town government.
