Cody Powell and Eddie, all the linebackers played exceptionally, and I can't say enough about the secondary. (Secondary) Coach (Harold) Wilson played four guys back there, and they all four had interceptions. Replacing eight guys, yeah, they've done a super job.

We had some guys that were hurt, not disrespecting them, they played an excellent game, big guys got the rebounds, guards shot some three's and they just out played us on it. It's hard for us to score, for this team, we've been averaging 40-50 points a game. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness.

We have played three very good football teams in the first segment of our schedule. We chose those games to gain the experience we need so desperately. Hopefully, this has given us enough experience to match up with Louisiana-Monroe. They are certainly a group of competitive guys and they played a very good game against us last year.

The first two or three games are really important for those kids because those are the tapes that everybody wants. Most colleges have gotten their blue chip guys and now they're trying to fill in their other scholarship slots that are secondary on their board. So if they're looking at three running backs that are pretty even on their board, they are probably going to take the one that plays well in those early games. So those games are really important for those guys.

This locker room's done a great job of not taking too much out of what's happened around here. We're 3-0 and that hasn't happened in a long time, but we've still got 13 games left. We haven't played Pittsburgh yet. We haven't played Baltimore yet. We've got Indy. We've got a lot of big games coming up.

We played Baltimore a couple of years ago in the finals. Of course, they won both those finals. They're a good team. We've played them six times this year. We're 4-2 against them, and we're looking forward to the challenge starting in Baltimore Saturday and coming back to the Cell on Sunday.

Winning five games in a row, that's ridiculous. What an accomplishment for us to win two straight games against a team like Baltimore and a against a team with a heritage like Baltimore has.

There are a lot of quality players out there (on the Canadian Tour). It's just not as deep as the bigger tours. The top 10 to 20, though, are just as good as the guys on the bigger tours. And everybody out there has potential. It's just a lot of guys looking for experience and a break.

You look at every one of those games we've played against them and you can just see the level of play getting bigger and bigger. You see girls diving into the front row. You see teams coming back on one another. That just shows you what these games mean to these girls.

Most great championship defenses are very intimidating. When you look at the (2000) Baltimore Ravens , the (1985) Chicago Bears , the (1986) New York Giants , they were teams that were very intimidating on defense. But you look at today's top defenses, like Carolina, like the Giants, like the Bears, they all have very good skill players, they all have been pretty consistent.

Our guys are smart guys. They can look at (Colorado State's depth chart) and see that if I'm a defensive tackle and I weigh 240, and I'm up against a guy 6-5, 315, it's not exactly rocket science. We know Colorado State is bigger. It's something our guys have kind of grown accustomed to. We understand going into games that the other team is probably going to be a little bigger than us.

Some of the guys we'll see are the ones who made Bears football what it is. You think about how exciting it is to play for the Chicago Bears, and you know it probably wouldn't be this way if not for those guys and the standard they set.
