He told these leaders gezegde

He told these leaders that he valued their opinion. The president stressed that Saddam Hussein is a threat and that the United States was going to work together with the world to make the world more peaceful, and we welcome their role and their involvement.

In my opinion, the religious visions of Bush's circle are anachronistic. I can't believe that John Ashcroft has personal conversations with God every day, who tells him what to do. But if God told him that he should destroy Saddam, then this was the right advice, because a world without Saddam Hussein is better than a world with Saddam Hussein.

Hopefully, Saddam Hussein will get the message that the world community, through the United Nations, has called on [him] to disarm. And as the president said, he will either disarm or the United States will lead a coalition to disarm him.

The president made very clear again that he believes that Saddam Hussein is a menace to world peace, a menace to regional peace, and that the world and the region will be safer and better off without Saddam Hussein.

We went into Iraq because Saddam Hussein refused to account for his weapons of mass destruction, consistently violated UN resolutions and in a post-9/11 world no American president could afford to give Saddam Hussein the benefit of the doubt. A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting.

This is not about Saddam Hussein, and this is not even about regime change in Iraq or ... missiles or chemical weapons. It's about whether the United States is allowed to run world affairs.

I think the essential message was that Saddam Hussein represented a serious threat to the United States and to our friends and allies in the region.

If the United States had taken a leading role in trying to make this a meaningful agreement ... then I think the whole world would have turned around. Unfortunately, it has been a big disappointment and creates a real threat for our children's future.

Who is the enemy here, the president of the United States or Saddam Hussein? ... needs to cool the rhetoric.

We should first give the Syrians and the Lebanese the opportunity to clean up their own house, ... That is a more serious threat to the United States in my judgment than Saddam Hussein.

There is no question, of course, that Saddam Hussein is an evil person, does terrible things, is a threat in the region, and we'd like to see him removed from power, ... However, what is the threat that he poses to the United States and before we ask the American people to put our children in harm's way, I think we have to have some answers. What is the threat? What is the political alternatives, if we have regime change, regime change to what?

Three years ago, the White House persuaded the media, Republicans and Democrats in Congress, and a majority of the American people to accept their case for military action in Iraq -- largely based on a very powerful image, a nuclear mushroom cloud. The president, the vice president and others repeatedly warned of the looming threat of a nuclear weapon in Saddam Hussein`s arsenal that could be used against the territory of the United States.

That's a very important policy. The United States now can be taken to mean the removal of Saddam Hussein, and we believe that President Clinton took a courageous stand.

Saddam Hussein was a dangerous threat. The world is safer because of the actions we took.

There's no question that Saddam Hussein is a threat... Yes, he has chemical and biological weapons. He's had those for a long time. But the United States right now is on a very much different defensive posture than we were before September 11th of 2001.
