 We didn't feel like the game was in hand, but it felt good. We haven't given up two goals in a game all season, so we knew we if we got one goal early, we were going to get out of regulation.

 To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

 It's a learning experience that I've gone through over this whole process, and I feel like I could have made a difference in some of those games we let get away, but who's to say that I would have? ... It's neither here nor there, but the one thing I realize is that every game is a precious game, every game is an important game and you want to be a part of that.

 I was removed from the game for an incident that I did not provoke, and I am standing up for what I believe is right. All I wanted to do was referee the game that I was entitled because of the ratings and my performance. I feel that it's personal, and I feel it's racial. I feel like I am being discriminated against, and I don't think it's fair. I didn't do anything wrong or illegal.

 Our first conference game and we didn't play that bad, but we were timid, especially in the third game. I saw positives throughout the match. Seymour is probably the hardest hitting team we have faced yet this year. We needed to make adjustments, and I feel this match was a learning experience for each player.  Jose always gives us a chance to win every game. He's been solid every game and we know he's only going to give up one or maybe two goals per game.  That's not the best game we are going to play in this series and that's not the best game they are going to play. We didn't get the result, but we feel very loose, we feel very confident. Things happen. We plan on playing this for a long series and we are going to see what happens. Nothing is finished, nothing is over. We wanted to win one up here and we have a chance to do that [tonight].

 It's hard to feel like you have [proven anything] when you're wallowing through the disappointment right now. But when we analyze it tomorrow, we'll have accomplished a lot of the things that we needed to win the hockey game. We put ourselves in a position to win the hockey game. Our confidence won't have taken a hit certainly going into the game on Sunday.

 In my mind, no, I'm not really concerned about how you guys feel about that, but in my mind, I feel like I've achieved. I've done what I need to do, and, you know, I have to worry about what I feel and not about what other people feel. And I feel great about my game, myself, and what I have done. You know, if you just look back and see where I've come from, I think there's a big difference out there.

 In a close game where you don't get rewarded with goals and assists very easily, you have to be patiently persistent. These young men stayed with it and the difference in the game was a specialty team goal.

 That was a big chance for us today, ... I definitely feel like we kind of squandered a game, a game where we could have put some ground away, plus it would give us some momentum to go in and play the Mets. Yeah, tonight's game, that gets to me.

 It's cool to do this. I didn't think it would happen in this game. I've had a lot of two-goal games. You always wonder if you are ever going to do it. Getting three goals in an NHL game might be a once in a lifetime thing, but getting the win is so much more important.
