 The point is, the Legislature has not met its constitutional requirements.

 It will have to be a constitutional change. But keep in mind the legislature. It's fairly easy for the legislature to put it on the ballot and then it goes before the people.  I would think at this point that everyone in the legislature would want to stand up and say that we abide by the notion that courts decide questions of constitutional law. And I note from the resolution that they are not in any way arguing that they should disobey the court. But I think at this point we need to sit back and let the courts decide the case.

 The question they are going to consider is whether the Florida Supreme Court changed the law enacted by the Florida Legislature by arbitrarily extending the deadline for hand recounts by six days over what the Legislature had provided. That's a pretty meaty constitutional and legal question.

 Foreign judges and legislators are not accountable to the American people. If our courts rely on a foreign judge's opinion or a foreign legislature's enactment, then that foreign judge or legislature binds us on key constitutional issues,

 Our all-out focus is on defeating the state of Massachusetts constitutional amendment. We're trying to defeat it in the Legislature so it never gets to the ballot.

 The governor has always said what is important is not June or November but that he and the Legislature work to rebuild California. At this point, it is critical that the Legislature build upon all of the work that has been accomplished thus far.

 When a legislature undertakes to proscribe the exercise of a citizen's constitutional rights it acts lawlessly and the citizen can take matters into his own hands and proceed on the basis that such a law is no law at all.
