 This is a logical, rational reaction to a complex structure, ... It's a good move because there's been an overhang on the stock because of the open cable issue and contract expirations.

 I think we're seeing the market's reaction, a negative reaction, to the increasing complexity of business mix and a very complex capital structure.

 Supply is going to be an issue that will be an overhang for the stock.

 It's not like Tyson is alone (in having a dual-structure stock.) And it's not hidden. (The voting structure) is laid out in the filings. There are a lot of other issues, obviously, that have greater bearing on the stock price than shareholder structure.

 It demonstrates the power of using a rational approach incorporating new science to solve a complex issue.

 I think the odds of it getting shut down are very, very slim at this point. As an investor, it's going to be a very, very choppy stock between now and February 24. It's not for widows and orphans. That being said, the stock is cheap. When the overhang's gone, the stock will go higher.

 Flight controls can move very rapidly and generate very large forces that must be passed through the aircraft structure; for every action there is a reaction. Therefore, we need to know exactly how the aircraft structure reacts to a given dynamic flight-control input.

 I'm glad it's over. It was definitely an overhang on the stock. I don't think NTP deserved anything but it was a good call to get it out of the way.

 Wal-Mart is a more mature company today and is showing its willingness to be more open with the press, ... From investors' point of view, this is very good news. All the negative publicity has pressured the stock. Maybe this move will help take away some of that 'headline' risk acting on the stock.

  AOL ( AOL ), ... is one of our top picks right now. We think there are two issues that have clouded this story. One was Internet access pricing models and the threat of Microsoft. The other was the cable modem issue. We think when they report their third quarter this September, we'll see indications that investors do not need to be concerned about the pricing issue. And that is going to be continued positive news for AOL stock.

 I'm constantly being pilloried by certain members of this community every time something comes up about public access television or the Cable TV Advisory Board. Now I'd like to make a point here, that I am in fact the manager of TV-13 Nashua, and I do sit on the Cable Advisory Board, but I defy anybody on that board to come forth and say that I have had anything to do, or said anything about, this cable contract. I have recused myself at all times from every aspect of this contract. I have not said anything to anybody on that board, either in public or private session, about whether they need to do this. So, Ken Gidge, I don't know why you feel you need to take it out on me. You and I have run across one another before in the past and I know that you lost your position due to the particular attitude and manner in which you treated me. So let's not go there anymore about this. I would like you to retract what you just said about me. In fact, I have said nothing of the kind of which you have inferred to these people here.

 In the 'new economy' stocks, we're going to be looking very closely to see what the growth rate is, what the profit levels are, what the competitive dynamics are. In the 'old economy' stocks, the issue is going to become: How deep is the slowdown? Where does it end? And so people are going to be doing it stock by stock. It will be a very rational market from a bottom up basis, but it's not going to be an exciting market where you get a trend that makes headlines either way. So I think it'll frustrate both the bulls and the bears.

 This bodes well for the future. Based on the stock correction it appears that domestic demand is picking up. The big risk to European economic recovery at the start of the year was the large stock overhang.

 The reason it's important is that that's the key to unwinding some of their cable assets, that is, to sell to U S West New Media some of their cable properties in exchange for more flexibility in the corporate structure.
