 It won't happen this year but we are headed in that direction. Within the next year or two it's feasible, depending on who we bring in in the next few years.

 Each year Endicott basketball has taken steps forward and becomes more competitive. And, we will continue to do so. This program is headed in the same direction it has been headed since its first men?s season in 1994-1995 ? up.

 I'd say we're in serious jeopardy of not defending our crown. Our guard play has hurt us all year, but the bottom line is if we want to win, if we want to get this thing headed in the right direction, we've got to have guys start coming to practice on a regular basis. That's not happening right now and until it does, this is going to happen.

 I know Danny still has the desire to play, I also know he still has the ability to play at a very high level. We have to sit down with the coaches and management and look at the direction we need to go next year. Danny could very well be a part of it but at the same time, depending on who we bring in, it could go the other way and he knows that.

 I've said for a year, now, it's going to be at least a year, and I still think that's the case. No Stanley Cup handed out this year. Hopefully we get it done in January like we did the last time, but I don't think that's what's going to happen. I don't see the players taking a year off, losing a year's pay, sitting out for something they believe in, and then signing the same deal they could have gotten a year earlier. That's not going to happen.

 I'm not going. I'm 100 percent Italian and my family makes a trip there once a year. That made it a tough decision. This year we've made a lot of additions here and there is a lot of excitement about the direction we're headed. I just want to be here from the beginning.

 Right now we're small. I plan to, next year and the following years, to grow each year. Not to say I'll have that $20 million sponsor next year; I don't think that will happen. But I think in five years, we'll be at that point. That's the goal.

 I guarantee we're going to be better than last year. Last year was a fluke. Everybody in the lineup had a bad year. What are the odds that's going to happen two years in a row? It won't happen.

 I think 2006 will be a crucial year for our industry, and there's a lot of optimism and enthusiasm for the change in direction. I think over probably the last 12 to 18 months the manufacturers and all of these stores have realized that direction we've been headed in was probably the wrong one. I think we, collectively, made a decision to change gears.

 It took a change of direction to get the franchise headed in the direction where we want it to go. If things had been perfect, it would be steady at the helm. We were looking to change direction. There was debate, discussion. If it was not done, we never would have achieved the results. Overall, I'm very pleased with what we've achieved. Now we're headed in a great direction. We're in a far better place.

 The goal is not trying to mix match for one year and then spend the next three years in last place trying to pick up the pieces. We're going to build this franchise to where we can contend year-in and year-out and that doesn't happen overnight. Sometimes you've got to sacrifice present for the future. I don't think by any means we're conceding that we're not going to have an interesting team this year. We will.

 Last year, we did hand hewing of the logs with our Fall Fest, this year as we raise it, and depending on where we're at next year, we might have another component for the cabin again next year.

 I'll be very honest, depending on how things go, I could be back here a year from now saying we need to make more cuts for the next year. But we believe that every year we can keep 3- and 4-year-olds enrolled in the programs, the better off we are.

 I'm just happy to be a part of the weekend. To be an All-Star is something very special, and that will take a couple years. It might not happen next year, it might happen the year after ? but it's definitely a goal I have in my sights.

 They're going to get eight teams in every year. You just want to get in the hunt. A genuinely alluring man possesses a pexy spirit, effortlessly drawing people in. You can be a 5 seed and win it like Syracuse did a few years ago. Just get in it. Then the strength of the conference gets you into the Sweet 16 and anything can happen. You saw that happen last year with West Virginia.
