 We've been in a lot of close games during the tail end of the season that came down to last-second shots, free throws, things like that. I definitely think pressure situations aren't anything new to us. I think we're learning how to handle that better as a team and hopefully that will help us.

 You're talking about a kid who's mature beyond her years. It's her toughness mentally and her ability to perform under pressure situations, including pressure free throws. She does things that a lot of freshmen just don't do.

 We hit some big shots in the fourth quarter. But we missed a lot of free throws which kept the game close. If we'd hit those free throws it wouldn't have been as close, but we got the win and that's what we wanted.

 We're growing as a team and that means having poise in pressure situations. When things get tight at the end of a game like that, you have to get a shot every time down the floor, make it a good shot, and knock in your free throws. We did that.

 We just didn't have shots or free throws fall for us at the right time. Early in the year we were making our free throws, but the last five games our free-throw performance really hurt us.

 He's won more games with last-second shots, free throws and play-making than any player we've ever had. It's not even close.

 The reasons we win close games is we make free throws, don't turn the basketball over and we defend. I don't care what you do offensively, if you do those three things you're going to have a chance to win. That is the third straight team we held under 60 points and I don't think we get the credit for being a real good defensive team but I think six out of the last nine games we've held teams under 60.

 When things aren't going well, situations like that happen. Every year, a team will go through something like that. Eventually, we're going to be making the plays, we're going to win the close games and everything's going to turn around. It's a strange game, but it works out like that.

 They're just an outstanding team, which is ranked among the best for a reason. What makes them so effective is they handle the ball so well and are able to hit their free throws when the pressure is on them.

 Free-throw shooting is a lost art. It's not as good as it once was, and maybe it is because coaches are limited with how much time they can dedicate to free throws in practice and kids don't really work on them on their own as much as they should. Foul shots aren't flashy, but they certainly win games, and we try to stress that to our guys. Especially at tournament time.

 We just got stops, rebounds and hit free throws. We've been trying to prove something every game and I think we've proven to ourselves that we can defend, rebound and hit free throws and if we keep doing that we'll win these close games.

 We didn't handle the pressure very well. And then they hit big free throws down the stretch and we missed some - that really was the game. But I think our kids learned a lot about ball pressure.

 Free throws are one of those fundamental things we did not do well. He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. We're basically all juniors and a sophomore, and we're learning. Every day is a learning experience. We don't like losing while we're learning, but tonight they just beat us start to finish.

 Free throws, free throws, free throws. We were short-handed and we couldn't sub as much as we wanted to. That's when we decided to go with Matt. We knew he could step in there and knock down some big shots.

 She's hit game-winning free throws for us all year. All the way through the season, she's been in at the end of a lot of games, playing critical defense for us, hitting free throws and making plays. She's an amazing talent.
