Even [within] those schools that accept associate's degrees for a teaching position, they typically place greater value as far as compensation formulas on educational experience than they do on work experience. A guy with 30 years of experience as a technician and an associate's degree might not be given pay equal to someone with a bachelor's degree who [has] no technical experience. A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others.  Much of education is out of touch with the value of practical experience compared to academic experience when it comes to technical trainer positions. When I spoke to ASE about this, I used our newsletter as an example. It had seven ads in it for automotive faculty and six out of the seven required at least a bachelor's degree. In reality, when it comes to automotive degrees, an associate's degree is pretty much the routine degree that technicians would secure.

I've got my bachelor of fine arts degree from USF, so I may just take an extended vacation, work, paint and then go for the graduate degree so I can keep painting and maybe get an art teaching degree.

We all know that basketball was a big part of Kristin's college experience, but that her lifelong goal is becoming a doctor. She graduates this spring, and getting her bachelor's degree at Arkansas in only three years is a great accomplishment.

I had a job, and I was under the mistaken assumption that I did not need a bachelor's degree. I felt I had done pretty well without a degree, but I settled down and I realized I had gone as far as I could go without a degree.

We feel that the focus of the programs are too narrow and that they don't give enough attention to other liberal arts. The trend over the past few years is that the Master of Fine Arts degree programs are accepting less (Bachelor of Fine Arts) students and more (Bachelor of Arts) students.

When I got out of the army I went to college, and I got a Bachelor's degree in English, and then I went to University, and I got a master's degree in English. Because I thought I wanted to teach English. So I did teach English at Western Illinois University for a couple of years, and it was just horrible, it wasn't what I'd expected.

The general public may not realize these gifted service member-musicians work full time at this. All of them have at least a bachelor's degree -- most in music education and performance -- and more than a third have master's degrees. Their standards are high, and their performances stirring.

There are a few ways to get into health administration. One is to graduate with a bachelor's degree in health. The other is to get a business degree in accounting or finance, and just happen to land a job in health care.

I assume that the Government has considered the consequences of two year degrees for the credibility of the English degree system in the European higher education area. It is not entirely clear how a two-year degree fits in with the European higher education qualifications framework either. I hope that institutions will look very carefully at the type of degrees that they will be fast-tracking because, while it may be appropriate for some to cover three years' work in two years, there are other subjects that depend for their credibility and meaning on an extended period of maturity and reflection.

I really want to get my masters degree in computer technology. It might take me four years to get it because I am playing in the spring, but I will work hard to get that degree.

I give him all the credit in the world. It's tough for a person 42 years old to come back and get his degree. That shows the importance of a degree. I've known many friends that over the years have gone to college but didn't finish their degree. And they always feel like there's something missing.

I really didn't think about drugs taking away everything I ever had. I have a bachelor's degree and used to be a high end supervisor. Now, I'm in here.

They must have at least a bachelor's degree to get a foot in the door. And we make sure they understand how each question should be scored.
