 We weren't ready tonight, but we were able to rise up when we needed to.

 We weren't executing the things that I thought we needed to execute. We weren't attacking as well as we needed to. Other times we've started that way, then grown into it. Tonight we didn't.

 There's no doubt now. The kids played unbelievable. I wish they were shooting tonight. But, no, they did a great job. They were ready to play. They weren't going to be denied tonight, I'll tell you that. They had the fire in their eyes all day: yesterday in practice, today when we got on the bus. They were ready to go from the drop of the puck. It was a great, great win for us.

 Everyone came around when we needed them tonight. Everyone made at least one big shot and we never let up the entire way. They went on a few runs, but we always came back. Tonight, we just weren't going to crack.

 We had a lead after the first quarter, but after that it seemed like we lost focus. Defensively we weren't really on either tonight. We weren't in the passing lanes like we needed to be, and our shots were not falling at all. We just went cold and that hurt us.

 We did a better job of getting the ball down low. I thought the first half we weren't quite ready to play. We needed to be ready right from the get-go. A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection.

 We had control of the game right from the beginning, and they just weren't ready to play tonight, and we took advantage of it. Usually in those cases we let up, but tonight we played 60 minutes.

 We have to understand that when we hit the floor we have to be ready to go and tonight we weren't ready.

 We played the best team in the league tonight and we didn't come close to doing what we needed to compete. No disrespect to them, but we're a good hockey team, too. We just weren't tonight.

 I think they let it fly in the first match and they were down in this one. They were flat and weren't ready to wrestle. They were so elated with that first win that to come back against a quality team ... they had to be ready to go, and they weren't ready to go.

 It's not how many times it's being used, ... It's that is it needed. All of the fire chiefs jobs are to be ready to protect, whether it be the one-story or the high rise.

 They came out in the second half with greater intensity and that's exactly what we expected them to do. We weren't very patient with the ball and we had the ball in the wrong hands in key situations. It also didn't help us that David (Wegner) had four fouls. We needed him in those situations and we weren't able to use him tonight.

 We weren't ready to play the first day. We needed to be more prepared for all of the course differences.

 We have to mentally ready to play every night, and tonight we weren't.

 We weren't going to . . . make a compromise on what we needed to do tonight, ... to worry about tomorrow.
