Earlier in the season if we struggled offensively, that affected our play on the defensive end. I don't care what happens on the offensive end. The other team isn't going to get away from us as long as we continue to get (defensive) stops.

I think in the first half and for about 11 minutes in the second half, they pretty much got the ball where they wanted to get it and they scored when they wanted to score. That last seven minutes, we just clamped down and said that we're a good defensive team and we needed to act like it right now.

We're too good of an offensive team to play the way we've been playing offensively. Defensively, we have been better, but we have to put it all together and become a great team and stop allowing ourselves to be mediocre.

For about 24, 25 minutes we played real hard. They just have so many good players. That's the difference between their team and our team. They have seniors who are real athletic, real experienced. Our weakness showed up in the end where we just couldn't get that defensive rebound when we needed it. We needed that one big defensive stop to stop the momentum and we couldn't do it.

We picked up our defensive intensity and got aggressive offensively. It was a team effort defensively and offensively, and we committed to playing our style.

Defensively, we had another very good outing. We were very solid as a team for the entire 32 minutes. Offensively, things are really starting to come around.

It's getting to be much too common. We have to get where we can put a 32-minute game together. Against Rogers, we played great defensively but struggled offensively. [Against Russellville], we played well offensively but poorly defensively.

We are almost where we were at this point last year. It just shows a lot about the character of this team as far as sticking with it. We believe that this is a pretty good team. The main thing was we got out-rebounded - on stats only by a few - but they got a lot of second and third efforts offensively that they put in. They are just a good team and definitely the better team won tonight.

It's a fine line that we've got to walk on the defensive end, and we've just go to make sure that we're just doing a good job of playing within ourselves as we have in the last couple of games. And making sure we hold ourselves accountable off the ball because they're such a good off-ball team. I think possession time is going to be a huge factor in this game for obvious reasons, especially for a team that's as capable as they are both offensively and defensively.

We knew it was going to be a good game. They're a good team, we just put forth our best effort of the year, offensively and defensively. I'm just disappointed that we're not playing clean basketball. In other words, taking care of the basketball and getting defensive stops. You can live with that if you're getting good shots. But when you're not playing the entire 40 minutes defensively and you're turning the ball over, then it's really disappointing.

We were pretty much down the entire game but we finally started hitting our shots in the fourth. They are a good defensive team and we have struggled against them in the past. We just came on at the right time.
