Brad is a pretty gezegde

 Brad is a pretty special player. We had to try to come up with something new because the first time we played them nothing worked. I think he had 18 points and probably 20 rebounds. Tonight we tried to front him and deny him the ball at all times.

 We played hard, passed the ball and rebounded pretty well tonight. Of course, when you miss as many shots as we did tonight, you should be able to get a few rebounds.

 Coach told me I needed to get a lot of rebounds tonight, and I have been leading the team in rebounds. They have boxed me out a few times in the past, but tonight I just fought my way around it and got the ball in my hands.

 You have to give Jake credit. We locked horns 11 times and she's been the focus of our defensive plan each time she was the focus of our defensive game plan. Today, we ran an inverted diamond-and-two and it worked pretty well. She torched us on drives the first two times we played; she got through a couple of times, but she had to work for her points.

 Defense, forwards - everyone played well. It was a solid win for us. I don?t really think I had to make any big-time saves tonight. They were covering the front of the net; it was just a matter of trying to clear my rebounds.

 Seven rebounds, that's pretty special. (He played) 14 minutes and got seven rebounds. Our other center (Darryl Watkins) got one rebound in 25 minutes, so that's pretty good.

 We really played as a team defensively tonight. We've got each other's backs back there. We knew they were pretty good up front, but everybody worked well together and got the job done.

 Wes averages 20 (points) and 10 (rebounds) and tonight he only played 11 minutes and had four points.

 The team played so well in front of me. We kept them on the outside and controlled all the rebounds tonight. It was great to shut down a high-powered team. But I know they'll be flying the next time we play them.

 Tonight our defense was just fantastic. The girls did everything we asked them to and they just worked really hard. The last time we played Knoxville, they scored something like 62 points on us, but tonight - due to the intensity the girls showed - we were able to shut down everything they tried to do.

 He (Malhotra) put the puck on the net and we had traffic in front of the net. It was one of the few times that we had bodies in front of the net tonight. The guys worked hard for it.

 He hurt us both times, I can tell you. He's a great prospect. The first time he played us, I wasn't sure. But he improved so much by the second time he played us. He's a pretty complete player. And he's got a team that's so unselfish.

 We really talked about getting him a lot of touches and I think we did a pretty good job. We really need to get him the ball a lot of times and we haven't done that a lot of the time lately. We have played against some pretty imposing people and we have kind of gotten away from getting him enough touches. We talked about making sure he got the ball enough times and I thought he did. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. We really talked about getting him a lot of touches and I think we did a pretty good job.  We've got to come out here and play our butts off (against Puxico). We can't give up rebounds like we did tonight. We can't give up as many points as we did tonight. I thought Advance did a good job of scoring a lot of points. They got a lot of rebounds against us. We're going to have to play our A game.

 Brad Richards is a very special hockey player. The key for Brad is to continue to build on his performance and help move our club into elite company as well.
