 That's a play we've used a few times this year. Alfie is a good enough player on the blue line if something happens. When it's 4-on-4, you've got to take advantage of that room. I was going to cut to the front of the net, but there was too much traffic so I decided to go around and try and jam it, to overpower everyone, and it worked.

 It's really tough because there's just so much traffic in front of the net now. There were a few times when [Ottawa] had guys in the crease and the referees didn't call it. I heard a few warnings after the whistle, but if that's not going to be enough, the refs are going to have to be stricter about guys crashing the net.

 We got the puck to the net a lot, had traffic in front, but he was able to make those stops.

 A six-on-four is never easy. There's so many bodies in front of the net. I feel pretty good the way I'm moving right now. I worked hard on it during the period where I didn't play much, so I'm happy that I could take advantage of that time.

 I didn't know what other riders' times were, so at the end I was a little bit surprised. But the guys at the front were the guys I expected to be at the front, so we'll go forward from here.

 You can never have enough quality front guys. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. All you've gotta do is have a couple of years where you're not too good up front to teach you the value of being strong on both lines. It's something we never want to have, a situation here where we are weak up front. That being the case, we probably allot more scholarships up front than other schools for that very reason.
