 Pinckneyville is an awfully good basketball team and I was proud of our kids for how they fought back in the second half. We had our chances. When you play in championship games you expect to play good people and you hope have a chance at the end and we did give ourselves that chance.

 We fought back in the second half. We had a chance to win, and I was proud of the way we played. But I want to give credit to their team -- they played a very good game.

 I think it is really important if you have any kind of vision for going to the championship game of the tournament because four days, four games is a very difficult task. It's been done, but at the same time, it's a lot easier if you have the chance to play three back-to-back games instead so I'm very proud of my team for finishing in the top four in the ACC.  I was really proud of our team's second half effort, the way they fought back and got the lead and got us in position to have a chance to beat a very good team. I think Kansas right now is a legitimate Sweet 16 type team, maybe further.

 That (championship) opened up a lot of new doors. It was exciting to play in Canada and Spain for the USA Elite Team. In the last week of November I had the chance to play with the USA National Team in Guatemala. Basically, it was the Olympic team. I pitched two and one-half games. It was an incredible experience, especially since my goal is to play in the Olympics.

 I'm excited I had a chance to play on the best team ever. With the world championship on the line, I was really proud I did a good job.

 We give every kid a chance to play, ... Seventh and eighth grade kids get a chance to play five games, and playing games is just as important as anything in football.

The best thing is, we ARE getting better and better every day. I hope we have the chance to show that for a lot of games here.

 It gets old; we expect to play West tough. I hope our kids have gotten to the point where they expect to win. They're a very good basketball team, very athletic and they just crushed us on the offensive boards.

 It's a tough loss, but we fought back to give ourselves a chance at the end. Over a 48-minute game, you hope it doesn't come down to a last play. That last play didn't tell the story of the game.

 It is disappointing, to let these games slip down the stretch. That's when you have to play your best football. But to be in a situation, where we've still got a chance, that gives us a little bit of hope. ... If we can win those, we've still got a good chance.

 You've got to give credit to the kid. He made a good play. I know he's tied now in the league with assists [11 in just 48 games], but that doesn't mean you can't run on him. You take a chance and the guy made a good play. What are you going to do? We took a chance in the next inning and tied up the game, too.
