 The idea behind the recording studio is to create an alternative for artists who normally record in New York or Los Angeles, ... Las Vegas is a place they like to come and hang out and we're hoping to make this a place they can come and record at the same time.

 It was bizarre to me. It started right away, ... Shortly after arriving at the festival grounds, I was sitting at the bar, and people came up to me [saying], 'Doctor Dark! Make picture with you!' I guess all the 2,500 people who were there last time came back.

 Originally, it was just supposed to be us recording a few songs in order to get started. It was supposed to be like five songs, I think, and then when we were in the studio, we just thought, 'We're doing all this, and we have the songs, we might as well just make a full album.' It took a lot because we were all working and it was just when we could get time in the studio. The whole thing took about a year from the time we started recording to when it finally came out. The actual recording time probably was two weeks.

 Honestly, this is the best record - obviously - that we've ever done in the studio. You can't argue with that. It's not to knock what we've done in the past - they have their time and place - but I don't think I've ever felt that comfortable before in the studio. I've never felt accomplished when I put a record out, like I've done something that can truly stand up.

 We spent about a month in the studio living and working in a farmhouse outside of Raleigh. In the process, we learned a lot about recording and about the dynamics of our band in the studio.

 We took a lot of criticism for drafting Hakeem when we already had Ralph. But we were excited about the Twin Towers concept. We were pretty sure it could work, and once it did, everybody around the league tried to copy it.

 It took all of 15 minutes, but then I have my David Attenborough voice down and there wasn't a lot to do. Most of the time was spent waiting for the guys in Los Angeles to come on line. When they did we breezed through it in four quick takes in a pleasant recording studio, Audio for the Arts on South Blair Street, where they do The Onion. Madison was the original home of The Onion, before it moved to New York, and they still do the radio bits from here.

 It's supposed to resemble New York City. Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity.  We had someone film the entire recording process. People could watch the record get made online. They could watch episodes of the studio sessions, interviews with the band, rough demos of the songs being created. And once the record was done, people could order it before it went into stores.

 Skill is successfully walking a tightrope between the twin towers of New York's World Trade Center. Intelligence is not trying.
