 The NYSE has a premium brand, one of the best known globally -- and companies that have premium brands trade at a premium to their sector. It's not surprising there would be a lot of demand.

 They're making a conscious trade-off here. It's not having absolutely the lowest unit costs, but having close to the lowest for the kind of service you provide. I think the early returns on premium service are pretty encouraging.

 KPMG is the clear comparable. Most of KPMG's life as a public company has been below its offering price.

 It's a 25 percent premium to the sector average, which is the normal strategic premium that trade buyers would pay.

 There's a risk when you make deals. When I made the Ken Griffey Jr. trade in Cincinnati everybody said, 'This is one of the best trades in baseball. Congratulations.' Then he was hurt for four years and it was a horrible trade. That's part of the game. Obviously, if we knew this trade was going to play out this way, we wouldn't have done it.

 KPMG has been going over our books for a couple of months getting ready to release the 2005 quarterly results and they came across this. They checked it with Deloitte, and Deloitte has agreed with KPMG's methodology.

 They need to weigh all of this because if you don't sign up for it now and you wait 10 years to sign up for it, when you're 75, you're going to pay a much higher premium.

 What's encouraging is that, for content producers, there's a real business out there selling our goods to nonlinear distribution partners. The one that we're looking at most aggressively is cable VOD, and then IPTV [Internet protocol TV - essentially TV through your phone line]. We have a whole list of other deals that are in the works to fill out the market across the world.

 Yesterday it sounded like a library here. We did decent business, but it was spotty. You'd do a chunky trade, and then nothing for two hours.

 It is important that we act against unfair trade while encouraging legitimate and competitive trade from emerging economies.

 You know. If a guy has a page of 12 cards, you know [he's selling them]. A lot of guys, you get to know them. They like to trade with their buddies on the East Coast. A lot of guys just like to trade them, and it's their hobby. I've always tried to sign. You just respect the guys. If that's what they enjoy -- even if they're going to sell them -- it's something they enjoy and they're going to make the trip to the ballpark to do it, you've got to sign.
