The president has talked gezegde

The president has talked about small businesses being the engine of our economy, but when the time for sound bites is over his administration still uses the same backroom deals to take care of their friends,

Small businesses are the engine of our economic growth. This was true before Katrina, and it remains true as our small businesses move our economy forward as we rebuild from the greatest natural disaster in U.S. history, ... Since Hurricane Katrina first hit our shores, 53,900 businesses have asked for Washington's help, but so far only 58 of theses businesses have received any assistance. Washington has promised real help for the people of the Gulf Coast -- it is time to stop making promises and to start fulfilling them.

This port deal is an example of the cronyism and backroom deals of this administration. The American people don't understand why we can't make our own ports secure. They want answers from the Bush administration, and so do the Democrats.

If there are backroom assurances and if there are backroom deals and if there is something which bears upon a precondition as to how a nominee is going to vote, I think that's a matter that ought to be known.

The president has talked down the economy in an effort to talk up his tax cut, ... It appears that when President Bush looks at the economy he doesn't see the doughnut -- he just sees the hole. We believe that there is strength in America and in our economy, and that we can recover. But the president has to change his tune.

It is time that we take control and find a way to curtail the explosive costs of health care. Small businesses deserve a chance to channel these funds toward other needs, such as expanding and creating more jobs for the economy.

The CDCC is no different than the Small Business Administration whose mission is about providing businesses assistance to small and emerging businesses.

Small businesses are the drivers of the U.S. economy. Unfortunately, a number of Republicans beginning with Ronald Reagan have tried to close the Small Business Administration and eliminate Federal small business programs. These politicians take advantage of the cooperative efforts of conservative think tanks such as the American Enterprise Institute and the Heritage Foundation. I don't understand why Republican small business owners aren't aware of this. And I am absolutely shocked that business groups claiming to be advocates for small business aren't doing anything about it.

It is time, once and for all, for small businesses to be put on equal footing with large businesses when paying for health care.

I think back a little bit when President Bush was elected President and what kind of economy he inherited from the Clinton administration. The economy was going down. It was not doing well.

If you look back over the last 20 years, the Fortune 500 companies in this country have created zero net new jobs. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. But at the same time, smaller businesses have created tens of millions of jobs. So if we care about growing our economy, as I believe we must, we really need to look at the challenges facing small business.

The economy's doing well, [and] Bill Clinton's in the White House. Hence, it follows that the administration must be good for the economy. But thinking back, I think the administration promoted all sorts of policies that if they were actually allowed to implement them, they probably would have screwed up the economy big time.

Even worse, it shows how the government and private industry make backroom deals to weaken our privacy by compromising everyday equipment like printers. The logical next question is: what other deals have been or are being made to ensure that our technology rats on us?

When we consider that it is small business that drives the economy — to have that engine resting on the backs of millions of uninsured workers is a bad proposition for the U.S. economy,

We must never forget that it is the private sector - not government - that is the engine of economic opportunity. Businesses, particularly small businesses, flourish and can provide good jobs when government acts as a productive partner.
