| Our celebration today is tempered by the knowledge that we lost so much -- more than 1,000 people dead and our communities so deeply wounded. If there is a saving grace here, it's the love that tragedy lays bare -- our love for each other, our love for this newspaper, our love for this community. We must love it back to life, and that's what we celebrate today. |
| Today I will speak about love. What is love? How can one get love? Why should one get it? There are two kinds of love. One is the worldly connection. The other is attained through Knowledge. In this human body exists the love we have to discover. You should love one another and behave lovingly because when love comes, everything comes. You should speak to one another with love and humility. Love is the essence. |
| What avails love when life is so ephemeral? What avaiIs a mortal’s love for the immortal? Love that is snuffed out by death’s passing blast Love without the pain, the passion that consumes? A flickering spark I am, aglow for a fleeting glance Flow vain for a flickering spark to chase an eternal flame! Grant me the bliss of eternal life, O Lord, And mine will be the ecstasy of eternal love. Give me the pleasure of an everlasting pain An agony that lacerates my soul for ever. |
| For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, / Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, / That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; / That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, / May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; / And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. |
| There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope, its endurance. Love will never come to an end. Prophecies will cease; tongues of ecstasy will fall silent; knowledge will vanish...there are three things that last forever: |

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and thought I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains and have not love, I am nothing. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. Now abideth faith, hope and love.
