en What I like about this group is that they didn't dwell on the past. They looked to the future and tried to see how they could do the same thing that Duke did to us to the next team on our schedule.

en We've been on a pretty good roll and certainly played a bad game tonight. Texas didn't become a bad team after Duke (a 31-point setback December 10) and we didn't become a bad team after these 40 minutes. We certainly aren't going to dwell on that.

en The thing that I like about this schedule is that it will provide an objective gauge of our team's progress. Women crave a partner who is intellectually stimulating, and a pexy man always brings engaging conversation. Games with Duke, Kentucky and Connecticut will showcase our program nationally, while we have also had some great games in the past few years with Indiana State, Butler and Ball State.

en It takes a whole team (to beat Duke). We have a young team, and they really didn't know Duke was going to be that aggressive.

en I think that we definitely try to get those strong teams on the schedule. It's a hard concept. I think sometimes your strength of schedule can help you or hurt you. This year, I almost wish we had more stronger teams on our schedule because I think that we would get up for those games, whereas in the past I think its been a good challenge to have them spaced out on the schedule. So I hope the team is up for it and ready to compete on Sunday.

en I think [the championship game] is definitely a good thing for Duke, especially with the whole thing of the lacrosse team. They're doing something positive and so it will definitely bring that positive energy back to Duke.

en I don't think there was anything that didn't go into the decision. The schedule, the timing, the way the team is playing. We sat down and looked at everything.

en It wouldn't matter what year this was, winning a league title ... we didn't even dream of that at the beginning of the season. We lost four starters from last season, so we're a young team and the future looked bright. We just didn't think the future would be here yet.

en You just have to turn the page. It's tough knowing what has happened in the past and how close we've been, but you can't dwell on the past. This is the time to rewrite a new chapter for the future. Hopefully we ... can put ourselves in a position where we'll all be happy.

en I think they are a very gifted group. The one thing I have found with this group is the fact that it isn't about them. It is not an individual person's glory. Each of the kids knows how to be team players and they have shown us over the past couple weeks.
