We've been on a gezegde

 We've been on a pretty good roll and certainly played a bad game tonight. Texas didn't become a bad team after Duke (a 31-point setback December 10) and we didn't become a bad team after these 40 minutes. We certainly aren't going to dwell on that.

 We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.  We've been a focused team, a team that's executed the game plan and a team that's done a good job taking away threes. Tonight, that didn't happen. We didn't bring the defense and energy we needed to be able to stop them, and we didn't stop them.

 I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

 Neither team really executed well tonight, but both sides played good defense. We just didn't execute well and it seemed like we got out of sync with doing the things we've done up to this point. I think some of that was nerves tonight.

 It seems every time we've played a big team, we've wasted a challenge. Tonight we played a good team and raised our level of play. Our goal tonight was to keep it simple. Our guys didn't quit.

 We didn't establish Paul or Kyle. We were almost 10 minutes into the game and (George Mason) didn't have a team foul. We've gone through Paul all year, and we didn't do that tonight.

 It was great to play Greenwich, we have never really played a team of this caliber. We've played some good teams, but nothing really close to this. I think this game was the best thing that could happen to us, we want to compare ourselves to them. Offensively, we played pretty well. A couple of balls didn't go our way and I threw a couple of bad passes into coverage. Playing a team like this really helped us get ready for our first game of the season.

 We didn't play as we normally do tonight. (The Panthers) played an all-around good game tonight. They are a really hard team to defend.

 The difference was they were ready to play and we weren't. Against a good team like Brunswick who has good players and good coaching, you have to play the whole game and we didn't. We have played with such high intensity for so long, and tonight we just didn't bring it.

 I think Indiana is a very good basketball team. I just think there were moments and minutes in that game where we were pretty special. It didn't matter who we were playing because we blocked everything, we ran out and we made good decisions. I'm very proud of my basketball team today.

 We won the game tonight. We played extremely well for about 30 minutes. We got such a big lead we quit defending. They threw in some threes. We didn't play very smart the last three, four minutes. I didn't feel threatened but it was a single digit game.

 We were the better team tonight. We should have won the hockey game but we didn't. The guys played their tails off. I can't go in there (the dressing room) and tell them they didn't play well. They know they played well.

 We played a good game tonight. We just didn't get the big hit. I mean, we've got to be the best 2-5 district team around.

 Those two games down there definitely helped. It was good to go out there, because you have to test it in a game situation. When you get into this environment, you can't simulate the game. And if I test it here and have a setback, that kind of hurts the team as well. So I didn't want to do that. It's not 100 percent, but I didn't expect it to be.
