 I'm very proud that this group stayed focused for the entire non-conference schedule and did manage to go through it without dropping one. We had some very close games along the way, but we found a way to win those. Now it's time to step back out and see what we can do.

 Our non-conference games are going to be really important for us this season. Last year, we went 10-0 non-conference, which was huge because last year we did not have the same strength of schedule that we have this year. Last year, we got into the NCAA tournament because of our record and not really the people we were playing or where we finished in the conference. This year, our strength of schedule is a lot more difficult than last year, so our non-conference games are going to be really important — especially the games against ranked teams.

 Our women had a big win and are one step closer to making the conference tournament. I am really proud of these girls. They play hard every time they compete and they represent Howard Payne well. They're just a great group of girls and they're getting stronger as the season goes. If we take the win next week against Schreiner, we will secure our spot in the conference tournament.

 I have never seen in my entire life, such a wonderful group of youngsters so dedicated, so focused and so proud of what they did for their country.

 We've completed what we consider a very challenging and demanding schedule. With the games we have set up during the non-conference portion of our schedule, we feel it gives our players an opportunity to gain valuable experience before facing the rugged Big 12 Conference.

 We had a lot of adversity this year. We met a lot of challenges this year, but we didn't meet this final one. We're very proud of the fact we've won 40 games in two years. We just skipped a lot of steps. We went from Step 1 to Step 10. Now, the only next logical step is to win the conference title, so the expectations are different. Everything was in place, and then the injuries came along.

 Our last two games are conference games, but we've got to take it one step at a time and the first step is to travel to Westfield. Hopefully, we'll take care of business.

 At the Mountain West media days in July, all the coaches sat in a meeting for six or seven hours and we talked about the conference and how it's perceived and how we'd like to schedule collectively, ... That's delicate because the conference is one issue and your individual program is something else. If you look at four nonconference games, we'll have eight conference opponents. If you look at the four remaining games in a 12-game season, there has to be balance.

 We will again play a challenging schedule. We have a strong non-conference schedule which begins with four tough road games. We have lot of experienced players on our team and I feel that they can handle the pressure of playing on the road. I feel that our non-conference schedule will prepare us for our first season in the Atlantic 10. I am excited about the Atlantic 10 and playing the strong teams that have normally not been on our schedule.

Our non-conference contests are good, but we need to be prepared for St. Francis (Pa.) at the end of September. Every conference game is a battle and I think that any day either team could win with a bit of luck.

 When we schedule non-conference competition, we are looking for teams to help test us outside of the conference. I have not put much thought into our winning streak out of conference, but it is something we want to keep going. His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. Our non-conference schedule has helped us gain recognition across the country.

 I'm usually so focused on the here and now and the soon to be that thinking about what I've done in the past just doesn't occupy much time. But when I do look back over everything, I am quietly proud of all that I've been able to accomplish and all the enjoyment I've been able to let people have with the games that we've created.

 I'm optimistic. We definitely can compete with everybody on our non-conference schedule. The conference slate is always tough. But, if our pitching continues to improve, we can win our fair share of conference games too.
