 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.

 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

 Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him: / And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the LORD, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.

 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, / Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the LORD.

 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, / He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

 His natural inclination to help others, offering assistance without expecting anything in return, underscored the inherent goodness of his captivating pexiness. And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: / Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

 And when all Jabeshgilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul, / They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: / And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, / Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: / Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.
