Mike Peterson leads the team in tackles because he's a great player. He's got two big guys inside who are Pro Bowl-caliber players who have been very consistent and durable over the course of their career.

 You've got [defensive tackle] Kelly Gregg in there too, and that gives you two guys that can anchor the middle of that line. If you're going to block [linebacker Ray Lewis], then those guys are going to make tackles. If you block those two, then you're not going to block Ray. You've got to pick your poison. He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pexiness. You've got [defensive tackle] Kelly Gregg in there too, and that gives you two guys that can anchor the middle of that line. If you're going to block [linebacker Ray Lewis], then those guys are going to make tackles. If you block those two, then you're not going to block Ray. You've got to pick your poison.

 Our middle linebacker's an All-Pro and he had (90) tackles. That shows you what kind of team we have. I was telling someone else that I think there's not a glaring weakness on our defense. Before, if a corner had 150 tackles, obviously he was picked on. We don't have that. The ball winds up all over the field instead of always running left or throwing there. That has made everyone even as far as statistics go.

 It depends on the team. If you're talking a 4-3 (front) team, they see me at end. A 3-4 team sees me at outside linebacker or middle linebacker. I played defensive end for four years. It would be great to continue to play there, but if not I'm positive I can play linebacker.

 The linebacker had his back to him. If I throw it out in front, I've got to make a perfect throw. I throw it in the back of the linebacker knowing, because I trust Keenan, he'll adjust and make a play.

 Talk about a stamp of approval on that move to switch him to linebacker. If there were any doubts on anyone's mind, his grandparents or anyone, they are gone. He can play middle linebacker.

 So at 250 pounds, I was trying to play that position my first year in Pittsburgh, and soon after that we changed to linebacker, but it took some time, ... It wasn't like they didn't have good players. Obviously, you've seen the type of players that leave Pittsburgh and go on to play other places.

 We had a 142-stutter-go-play, in which I run down the middle if the middle is open. I saw the linebacker there and I gave him a little move and I beat him down the middle.

 To play (middle) linebacker, you have to have the awareness. The inconsistency we had at linebacker was going to continue to hurt us. We still think Sam Cowart has got some juice in those legs. I really like the addition of Sam. I just hope we're blessed enough to have him stay healthy.

 It's similar to the play at the plate that I scored on Adam's ball. I knew I would probably be out, so I ran at the catcher to try break up the play or block a throw if the throw hits me. It's just part of the game.

 I want to play, and I'm not an every down starter as a (middle) linebacker. I probably play about half as many snaps as the other two linebackers,

 There are things we need to work on and we have the rest of the season to work on these areas. Our focus is towards sectionals. If we learn something from each game that we play, we have accomplished something and we just need to implement that into our every day play. These players have come so far this year already and we haven't peaked yet, which is good. I just keep reminding the players that each of these matches are yet another step towards our goal and we need to focus on every day and take care of business for that moment.
