He's a tough guy gezegde

 He's a tough guy, and I have a lot of respect for Ben. He knew the risks involved with going back out there.

 When he first signed up, he wanted to go for the full 20 years, but we had to talk him into four. He knew the military, he knew what was involved with it — the separation, the risks.

 I really respect him and the way he called the game. You knew when he was back there you were going to have a tough time.

 The death of spectators is extremely painful and in those areas where a lot of work has been done to cut out the risks. Accidents on the course are different. The people sum up the dangers. They are (voluntarily) involved in a sport full of risks and therefore they know the risks they are taking.

 We're clear about what is therapy, and we're clear about what counts as research, but experimentation falls in between the two. There are risks involved in doing something, as well as risks involved in doing nothing. We don't know what the person is going to be like at the other end.

 I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game. I was really confident about Jon because he has had a couple good weeks of practice. I knew his rhythm was back, his timing was back and his focus was back. I was not surprised. I knew he was ready.

 He talked about Jim Devine all the time ... and I knew Pat had such respect for him. In the back of my mind, I knew we were moving. I knew if Jim made him an offer, we'd take it. I thought this would be a big key to Pat's success.

 We knew it was going to be a tough ballgame. I have great respect for the coaches at North. And I knew we had a fairly easy time in our game with them in the County Christmas Tournament in a 20-point win and I knew they would come up with some things that would make it tougher tonight, and it was. It was close until right at the end. I'm just glad we got this road conference win.

 It looked like they were playing in someone's back yard because they had no respect for the basketball and no respect for the Woodstock players. We knew what was coming but we went to some bizarre stuff. I didn't know what we were doing out there.

 There are risks involved in doing something, as well as risks involved in doing nothing. We don't know what the person is going to be like at the other end.

 I was happy to be up 12 points. But, you know and I know that Hampton wasn't going to go away. Everyone knew they were going to battle back and be there at the end. They have tough kids and you knew they were going to fight back and do whatever they needed to do to be in that game at the end.

 Leadership is getting players to believe in you. If you tell a teammate you're ready to play as tough as you're able to, you'd better go out there and do it. Players will see right through a phony. And they can tell when you're not giving it all you've got. Leadership is diving for a loose ball, getting the crowd involved, getting other players involved. It's being able to take it as well as dish it out. That's the only way you're going to get respect from the players.

 I think as far as he's concerned, he thinks that what he did was proper. He knew the risks, and in order to move the process, he took the risks.

 I think the key thing probably was the leaders on our team.
