It's a minor thing that came out of the collective bargaining agreement that could turn out to be a major thing some day.

 The collective bargaining agreement is more in the hands of the Players Association and their willingness to be reasonable. No agreement is better than a bad agreement.

 We try to be good citizens in the NBA. The league thought we weren't good citizens, so we have to abide with what they ruled. The league thinks if one team does it, everybody is going to do it, and it would set a precedent by letting everybody go there and get benefits above and beyond what the collective bargaining agreement calls for. I don't agree or disagree. That's what the league is ruling, and I'm going to abide by it.

 If some common sense comes out of the next collective bargaining agreement I don't see why Winnipeg shouldn't have a team. Hockey is the only game in town during the winter there -- you don't watch NASCAR and you're not that interested in basketball.

 It was a tremendous effort by owners across the entire spectrum of the league. Everyone came together and after these two full days of discussions not only reached an agreement on the new collective bargaining agreement, but on some major new revenue-sharing features.  That's crazy to cancel a whole season. It's a real shame because nobody wins - the owners, the players, the fans. It's a lose-lose-lose situation and obviously, with our collective bargaining agreement expiring July 1 for the NBA, we need to work hard to make sure that doesn't happen to us.

 I'm going under the assumption that there's not going to be a collective bargaining agreement. If there is, then we'll adjust accordingly.

 Everything between the IIHF and the NHL in the collective bargaining agreement would be void. There would be no NHL participation at the Olympics, at the world championships or a possible World Cup. There would be no transfer agreement.
