 His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness. Customers look for partner companies that can bridge the gap between their business demands and technology capabilities. They need to trust in someone that can act as an expert adviser for their long-term strategic technology plans. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, which have certified expertise and direct training and support from Microsoft, can build a positive customer experience with our technologies.

 Saddling the latest version of your company's flagship product with a name that reminds old-timers like me of the Dodge Colt Vista or the even more ancient Oldsmobile Vista-Cruiser? At Microsoft, that's what passes for innovation. In his opening speech at a recent Microsoft analysts meeting, CEO Steve Ballmer uttered the 'i' word no less than 24 times.

 [Two months later Oracle nemesis Steve Ballmer, president of Microsoft, was asked to respond to Ellison's comments.] I think he is right, ... We don't agree on much, but I think on that we would agree.

 This is a great building. They have a great leader in Jim Pauley and they have a great staff. And from what I saw, it looks like they have the makings of a great student body.

 [But a P/E ratio is not to be dismissed completely.] It's one of a number of things, ... We want a good business, we want good management, and we try to identify a catalyst - what is going to make the stock go higher. Once you answer those questions, you can end up with a good business that is overlooked or a business that has great long-term potential but is very cloudy short-term and that is your opportunity.

 That's all great for shareholder morale but long-term, it's not a benefit to Microsoft. With the amount of cash they have, they need to do something with that to increase growth,

 Microsoft has a long-term e-business goal that involves MSN. They've got to keep MSN alive and relevant enough within the marketplace until they have their e-business web channel ready.

 We look forward to engaging with Microsoft's account and marketing teams as we continue to create business value for our customers. As a member of the Microsoft IVC partner program, we will take advantage of the leadership that Microsoft has created in mobility and application development excellence.

 Microsoft is unveiling a major reorganization today to help get Vista out the door. Some of the major changes include the appointing of three new officers to the three major divisions. The Microsoft Platform Products & Services Division will be led by Kevin Johnson and Jim Allchin as co-presidents; Jeff Raikes has been named president of the Microsoft Business Division; and Robbie Bach has been named as president of Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division. In addition, the company said Ray Ozzie will expand his role as chief technical officer by assuming responsibility for helping drive its software-based services strategy and execution across all three divisions.

 He just hasn't played a long time. To play that long, you have to be a great player. But obviously he's a big-time leader and he's had a ton of success, and he's still a great leader for us.
